Dark, oily and sticky beans greated me as I first opened the bag. At that point is where my yet another let down from "Charbucks" started. The disapointment continued through the brewing process in my Aeropress. Its not for me as were my previous purchases of Starbucks Whole Bean Coffee. I guess if you enjoy a lighter dark roast you may enjoy this, but its not for me at all. Now excuse me while I go clean out my conical burr grinder.

This NEW HOUSE BLEND IS UNDRINKABLE, I can't imagine why you would do this to a perfectly great product. I'm sure it has to do with money, but you will not be getting anymore of my money unless it's changed back. I have been a loyal customer to you. Why did you do this?

A couple of months ago I decided to take my health more seriously and embarked on a new way of eating. One of the things I had to give up for the first 30 days was my morning Starbuck's run. That was not easy! Someone suggested adding instant coffee to my protein shake so I tried it. Awesome! I obviously chose Starbuck's Via as my instant coffee. It adds zero calories and turns my morning shake into a protein frappucino! This worked out so well that 90 days later, I still have not made a morning Starbucks run... I do enjoying brewing regular Starbucks coffee on weekends... but my daily coffee protein shake has helped me reach and exceed my goals. :) Thanks Starbucks!

Just using a few scoops, I get a great pot of coffee for the day. Smells amazing while roasting and tastes great. Doesn't get bitter if it sits for awhile and goes well with anything. I tried this after two of my fellow baristas suggested having it iced on our store's Clover machine, and all I can say is WOW. House blend is a tasty coffee that's not too light or too dark, not too acidic or bitter, not too complex, etc; to me, it really just makes a lovely, well-balanced cup of coffee. And the best part? It never leaves that unpleasant coffee aftertaste in your mouth. I've since turned another partner at my store and a few family members onto this coffee, and we all agree that it's a wonderful blend. If you're looking to cool down, definitely try this one iced as well!

I am planning a 3 week trip to Italy in September and cannot live without coffee first thing in the morning. So I am testing almost every instant that is available, including all the Starbucks VIA blends. The House Blend is the only one I have found that both smells and tastes like fresh brewed coffee. Some of them taste ok but I can't get past the smell. I am reading other reviews you might discontinue House Blend. PLEASE don't! I lived in Seattle in the mid-80's and this smell always brings me back to Pike Place. I think I will go and have a cup right now!
