Sadly, the bag I picked up this past week smelled truly awful when I opened the bag. It was shocking and unexpected to have coffee beans smell like rotten potatoes mixed with molasses. In just the first few inches of the bag I found many beans with telltale borer beetle holes and soft squishy lesions on the roasted beans. QA/QC at the factory didn’t catch this batch, I am afraid to say. I have liked Starbucks roasts as a consistent product no matter where in the world I have traveled. Open the bag and smell your beans when you buy them. Return bad batches

Our Breville Grinder Coffee pot loves this blend as much as we do! Never an issue with this brand or their whole beans. The only way it could be better is if the plant was sprayed with zero pesticides in the bean growing process, but sadly that would triple the price.

This is a review on the product, not on Sam's Club service. I purchased the House Blend because I like the taste of their 'flagship' flavor. I made several pots using these beans and the coffee was ok, but certainly not the House Blend. The House Blend has a very distinct flavor (and smell when it is brewing), but this bag of beans lacked the signature taste and smell. I think someone accidently poured an average brand of Columbian beans in to the wrong bag. The quality of the flavor was out of character for Starbucks coffee, and hopefully this is one time mistake.
