Nice crema, good flavor, no acidity (flavor) Would like these even better if they were priced a little closer to Keurig K-cups. As headline indicates, I use these pods in a variety of ways, depending on mood. I have a frother (not Starbuck's which doesn't seem to have gotten such great reviews)so cappuccino is one choice. But I usually brew 5-7 ounces and add a little half and half. Really quite good; for me, better than any K-cups I've tried.

There are only two roasts that are excellent to use in your home espresso machine; Starbucks Espresso Roast and Starbucks Italian Roast. Both have a full body, excellent balance, and strength to wake you up in the morning as well as pique your tastebuds and satisfy your cravings for that first cup. I always use whole milk in my lattes because it makes a perfect balance to the dark roasted coffee, rounding out the piquant, slightly bitter flavor just right. I also use this roast to make a White Chocolate Mocha, using Starbucks White Chocolate Sauce made by Fontana and available from their website. Overall, I like to try the special and seasonal coffees, but I grind them for French Press. Espresso Roast is great that way as well, but a cup of jo just can't compete with a well-crafted latte.

Coffee is great as always. Shipping was extremely slow. I guess if it is free, they don't care how they send it. Also, ordered in February 2017 and the expiration date was for April 2017. very disappointing. Yea, I know coffee stays fresh for a long while later past the expiration date - it's just the principal.

I guess I've become accustomed to it's taste at Starbuck's retail shops and enjoy it at home often. I brew it mostly in a home espresso machine and it seems to go nicely with milk (the American way to have an espresso). On our fishing boat the crew and I also like it as a brewed drip coffee.

My wife and I both enjoy strong dark roast coffee in the morning. This is my favorite roast and I grind the beans to a medium coarse size (4.5 out of 9 in a Kitchen Aid Pro burr grinder). I do not own an espresso maker but enjoy this flavor the most. A close second is the Cafe Verona.

I never thought I would be an espresso drinker. Unfortunately I always assumed espresso was a thick, syrupy drink. It definitely is not. Although a bold coffee it is a rich, clean taste. I gifted several pounds to coffee drinkers who had never drank espresso and it was a big hit.

i LOVE espresso roast from starbucks; i drink it every morning, but i make it in either a french press or drip maker(depends how much time i have, being i am ocd about cleaning up the filter right after). my other two favorites are french roast and italian

I've tried several different espressos over the years and in my opinion, nothing has the well balanced, depth of flavor quite like this one. This espresso in a cup of hot, steamed milk is perfect in so many ways. No need to add anything to the flavor. It has it all!!!
