An excellent roast for anyone who loves coffee with a strong, smoky, an almost dark chocolately taste with just the right amount of bitterness. It should be enjoyed black to fully appreciate it''s taste and flavor. Adding cream and/or sugar would be insulting to such a wonderful roast. Using a French press to make coffee with Starbucks French Roast is by far the best way to truly appreciate this roast!

French Roast has a dark rich flavor that is super tasty. I always carry some packets in my bag when traveling because I cannot abide weak, bland coffee . I am VIA obsessed!

The French Roast is the blend that my daugther likes best, she was very pleased. She enjoyes the fresh full flavor of this blend and the fact that it was beans she received allows her to have it fresh ground when she wants it. It was a total success.

I am a fan of dark roast coffee in general as I prefer to drink it black, and I have to say this particular dark roast has great flavor. It is really full bodied and you can really taste the notes when drinking black. If you like dark roast coffees and are looking for a new k cup, I would definitely recommend this product.

The coffee is delicious, however the website was down for a day when I tired to order and it took three weeks to be delivered. The status info is limited. It showed my order being processed for more than a week before being shipped . . . after that it provided no status where it was.

My Fathers coffee was famous, being Italian he made it very strong and rich. Relatives and close friends would drink my Dads coffee and savor it. Non-Italian friends would be taken back. My brothers and sisters and I would laugh at how big their eyes got when they tasted it. In 1998 I was in New York City to do the Marathon and I stopped at a Starbucks and got a coffee, French Roast and I thought; wow Dads Coffee. Ever since I've been hooked, Thank You Starbucks!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These things are so dang easy - just pop them in and a great tasting cup of coffee is ready right away. The French roast has a properly smoky and roasted flavor, and there is a little sweetness in there as well.

I have been drinking Starbuck's French Roast Intense and Smoky for years. I love the taste of it. The time I placed my order for Intense and Smokey I received notes of Carmel. I am not a fan of that blend. It doesn't have that INTENSE taste anymore. Where is the Intense and Smokey?
