Great cup of coffee. I like full-bodied coffee that doesn’t taste like it’s been filtered through cardboard. It’s full, not strong. Doesn’t taste like it’s been brewing for hours. Would prefer whole bean.

It is the darkest of the dark of coffees, but also has a smoky delicious flavor with it so it is not bitter. I always add creams and sugars to my coffees, but this one goes super well with Vanilla-Caramel creamer! #FreeSample

I'm comparing this Starbucks French Roast to Starbucks Verona, which is what's available in my local store (zip 33618). The French Roast tastes more roasted compared to the Verona which is a little fruitier. Both are good. If French Roast was available in store, I'd alternate between that and Verona for variety. Both are very good.

The French Roast comes in strong like, “Good morning, get it together.” It's smoky, bold, and honestly a little dramatic. I won't lie, I usually add cream because otherwise it might roast me instead. With notes of dark caramel and sweet smoke, it is a masterpiece. Made with muti-blend beans, hailing from Asia/Pacific, and Latin America, it offers a big bold taste with consistenty and quality. I have found that it is the easiest on my stomach acid as compared to other coffees, and I will continue to purchase. #freesample

I am so unhappy with Sam's Club as they have stopped carrying Starbucks French Roast Coffee 40 oz. in their warehouses. I have been drinking this for 24 years and purchasied it at a major competitor for 16 years before they discontinued it and then I joined Sam's Club and purchased it here until they recently discontinued it without a word. As they continue to drop major items from their inventory I have found less motivation to shop there and just discontinued my membership. If Starbucks French Roast Ground Coffee comes back, then so do I.

This is my favorite coffee. I like to grind it very fine. I wish it came in whole bean so that I could do that. That's the only reason for a 4 star review instead of 5 star. Please start carrying it in whole bean. It shipped very fast and the shipping charge was reasonable.

I love Sam’s club they carry my Starbucks brand coffee for a very reasonable price. Shipping is way too high for 1 item though. Last time I ended up paying almost 30$ to get 1 bag of Starbucks delivered to me. But u needed it for my company I’d had coming over so I paid it.
