My husband and I are avid coffee drinkers. We have been using Starbucks coffee since 1996. We have tried other coffees such as, Peet's, Seattle, Green Mountain, Gevaila, Thanksgiving and still come back to Starbucks. This French Roast does not upset our stomachs and has a wonderful taste and smell. All who have visited us and had it, have changed to this coffee. Thank you.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I absolutely love Starbucks! It just doesn’t always love my wallet, le sigh….. If I must settle for coffee from home, this is my top choice. I’ve tried other Kcup brands in the past but I always gravitate towards this one, and these are always the first ones to go in my house. So I just stick to the Starbucks brand now. This variety did not disappoint! Exactly what I’d expect, dark, rich, full coffee flavor. And if people are expecting me to be a decent human being in the morning, I’m going to need it!

The box I received had an expiration date of Dec 2014. I realize that is two months away. However, local stores are selling the same product with expiration dates of April and May 2015. There is a definite taste difference in this coffee when it's within a few months of expiration -- perhaps b/c of storage in facility? Otherwise, this product is usually good. Customers just need to know they might not get the freshest coffee by ordering direct from Starbucks (as I had assumed).

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This coffee is very delicious. It's Starbucks brand so it has a very dark bold flavor to it. I love that it is in a kcup which makes it very convenient in the morning for me. I highly recommend this coffee!

They were out of my normal coffee at the market, so I bought this thinking it would be okay, it's Starbucks right? Everyone loves Starbucks. NO! No this coffee tastes like dirty socks. I've tried to like it on 3 separate occasions and I can't get past the poor flavor. Maybe it would be drinkable if it was loaded with sugar, milk, caramel syrup, anything to cover the taste of dirty socks.

Leaves a nice crema on top of each cup. Only K-Cup that does that and I have tried many brands and styles. Taste like strong coffee should. Crema is a flavorful, aromatic, reddish-brown froth made when air bubbles combine with fine-ground coffee's soluble oils. The strong presence of crema indicates a quality, well-ground coffee and a skilled barista (professional coffee maker). Crema helps give a fuller flavor, longer aftertaste than drip coffee.

My German mother has always liked her AM coffee and working as a nurse it gets me going in the am also. She was not too particular about what coffee, as long as it was strong and full-bodied. I gave her a box of Sumatra K-cups for her Birthday and I created a "monster". Now she will not accept or drink any coffee but "The Bucks"!!

The Whole Bean French Roast has been my favorite coffee for about 25 years, and I've tried my share of coffee too. Real Blue Mountain, to Mexican and every brand name. I still want to try those others, but want my Starbucks French Roast, freshly ground, run through my espresso machine, with frothed half & half in the morning, and you can expect a fork through your hand if you try reaching over to take it from me! It taste like heaven!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Definitely a dark roast, and has a really strong flavor, but it is delicious if you like it strong. I personally like a lot of cream in my coffee, so it worked out perfectly for me. But if you don't like your coffee strong I'd suggest a lighter roast.

I bought a 1.5 bag of already ground coffee. First batch was underwhelming. I thought I’d miscounted the scoops to water ratio. Round II; underwhelming. Looked up on line and got to this page. Noted the unhappiness. Now stuck with a bag. I increased the coffee to water ratio by 50% to make it stronger. The “Good News,” I’ll be through this bag 50% faster.
