my husband has been a loyal Starbucks customer since our son worked for Starbucks over 5 years ago, our son introduced him to Gold Coast and when that variety left the store he switched to Verona, i now buy in bulk because he uses 1 pound of coffee a week, he is very particular and loves Verona!!!!!

I picked up on smokey instead of cocoa. Thankfully, it did this without being acidic or burnt tasting. I love a strong dark roast but this tastes more like a cigar- neutral cigar. My friend did love it with almond milk creamer but I drink mine black. It could have been my bag.

Cafe Verona is not my favorite taste but it surely suffices. It''s a good switch with the extra bold coffees I normally prefer (and need to relax with). I love getting my coffee online and am thankful it''s available this way because I have a 3 hour drive to the nearest Starbucks store.

For me - It's Dark Roast or nothin'. Recently tried Starbuck's whole bean DR & was instantly hooked on Komodo Dragon. Went to the store for another bag but came across this. Being a hopeless Choco-Freak I just HAD to try this instead. I'm savoring my very 1st cup of Cafe Verona this very moment (while listening to My Sherona) & I must say this blend really does stand up to its description. Very full-bodied, rich robust flavor with indeed a Dark Chocolate tone to it. In short - Intoxicating ! Utterly Fantastic !!! And another pleasant surprise is this will easily replace the Moca (which has Sugar which I can no longer have) I used to get for a sit-down Treat at SB's. If they have this handy they can slow-drip a cup for me while my Wife has her little "Sugar Fest" Blend. Will certainly have a package of this at all times in my Sacred Coffee chest, along with my other SB's Dark Roast blends, which in my opinion you can't go wrong on any ot them. I must admit....I am spoiled as to drinking any other coffee except for Caffe Verona. It's good straight black but unlike other coffees, if you put creamer in, the flavor isn't watered down at all. You're able to still taste the great coffee flavor. I've belonged to different coffee clubs over the years and have tried many many kinds. I saw this recommended on TV by two chef brothers and thought I'd try it and haven't looked back since. Just perfect...can't say anymore.

I am not a coffee connoisseur... But Caffe Verona, is a dark roasted full bodied coffee... It is not bitter at all... Unlike a lot of dark roast coffees that have a "Smokey" flavor... I call it a "Burnt" flavor.... Caffe Verona does not have a hint of "Smokey" ... I Love this coffee... I would recommend or serve Caffee Verona to anyone...

This is my favorite coffee! I drink it almost every day. Sometimes I drink a vanilla flavored one but more often than not, I find myself reaching for Verona. I love the subtle cocoa undertones in this coffee. Cacao beans are proven to be good for your health and so is coffee so its a good marriage between the two. It is a dark strong roast. I didn't used to like darker roasted coffee beans before I tried this but it is really awesome! Give it a try for something different and unique. It makes really good iced drinks as well. Sometimes I add a little low fat milk, a tsp of unsweetened Cacao powder and a tsp of homemade boubon vanilla in my coffee for a little extra oomph! Really awsome that way :)

During my escapes to other cities, it is nice to take that mid-afternoon break and enjoy that coffee. Good company and pleasant conversations enhance the coffee experience. Light, dark blends finally led me to the Verona blend in San Francisco. I'm always looking to enjoy that break, and the good taste and after taste of this blend.

I like to say; cheap is good but free is better, but there are 2 things I never cheat on; toilet paper & COFFEE. Green Mountain Pumpkin Spice is my all time favorite; unfortunately it's seasonal & hard to find. Looking for something special, something more than your usual wake up cup of morning coffee, I thought I'd give this a try. Wow! What a great cup of coffee! Smooth strong and flavor that wakes up your taste buds. Definitely going to be first choice in our household.

But I wanted to try the dark roast, glad I did. It is on strong side, so if your sensitive to not liking strong flavored coffee, this may not be for you, but on the other hand, great for the ones that like it strong and dark.
