Just the best Sumatra around. I would say better than French Roast in its own way. Fantastic, rich flavor.

I drink my coffee black with no sweetener. I also bre a short cup for more fullness. So love this coffee

It’s pretty bitter for a Starbucks coffee. Not happy with the product. Should’ve gone with the pikes place instead.

This is the blend for when I have time to sit and really enjoy the smell and taste. I use other blends for morning or regular use, but I always keep this on hand. The flavor is dark and bold, but not as "heavy" as the other dark blends. It is not bitter. It really does leave light lingering herbal flavors as the description states. This is my favorite blend from Starbucks.

Either one decides to or not to purchase this particular coffer. Truth is, testimonials are useless. And in this regard,w/this product coffee, taste&preference is personal. As for Sumatra coffee a outstanding,The coffee-iest flavour&aroma that I am now experiencing. That's a very personal assessment. The next fellow may not agree. Hence, useless testimonial. What is more important to me is the fact that Starbucks coffee brewed in your expensive urns CANNOT be duplicated at home by any means, using simple kitchen appliance. Thus, one hopes his own acceptable creation would be classy enough to merit the prime cost of the bag. Good sourced coffee are just that-good. It stands on it's own feet. Anywhere on the planet one may be sipping a cup. I grew up in a place where old folks direct boil(absence of fancy paraphernalia) their grounds. The result was always strong, not exactly similar to Turkish system, but, not unlike it,with the resulting somewhat thicker consistency than normal. My own coffee has to be on the strong caliber, this is how I had developed my personal taste. And the more varieties of strong blends there are, the more latitude for my enjoyment. Starbucks Sumatra-whole beans/ground Dark-elevates my enjoyment to the stratosphere. Next..Grazie molto.
