Fails just past the Warranty

This is the 2nd Sonicare model to fail in the last 3 years. This newer generation model is built just well enough to outlast the warranty. Garbage. Because I have brush heads, I'll buy the cheapest model to use them up, then switch to a better quality maker.

Needs to be redesigned with durable buttons.

I have used sonicare for years, and personally love the product itself and it's performance. My problem is the turn on and off button always disintegrates in less than a year, causing the toothbrush not to turn on or off properly, so your forced to buy another one. For the price of this toothbrush, it should not need to be replaced in less than a year. Three years in a row! Phillip sonicare, please address the issue of the on off button disintegrating due to the fabric it's made out of.

The product worked well BUT for 2 years only

It worked really well for the first two years. However, after that, the battery performance declined significantly. Now, my toothbrush needs to be recharged after only three days of use. Also, it's vibrating less powerfully, and the metal shaft where the brush head fits is loose. Luckily, I had six more months of extended warranty, so I got a replacement toothbrush handle. But yeah, I did have higher expectations for such an expensive toothbrush.

Brush Head Lifetime

I had this toothbrush as a Christmas gift and I love it so much. I use it everyday since I got it. However, the problem happened couple days ago is when I was using it and it made loud very noisy. I also do research and I've known that I need to change the brush head every 3 months. But I've been using it only 1.5 months and got this problem. A little disappointed for this cuties toothbrush.

Review Resubmission

So I submitted a review earlier this week which reflected on my Philips customer service experience. I received a followup email which stated my review would not be posted. Here's a quote from the company email: “Unfortunately your review hasn't been published because it doesn't meet our Philips content guidelines. 1. directs business away 2. contains inappropriate content Would you like to have another go? You can resubmit your review.” I did not post inappropriate content. I documented honestly the issues I had with my experience over multiple attempts over two days to make a purchase. That was it. No company is perfect. I identified an issue in a review. Btw, I and members of my household own other Philips products. Caveat emptor.

Poor quality

They do a great job cleaning your teeth but we have had to replace it every year because they break. One time they gave us a replacement at no cost but in the past five years we've purchased four. We use only the skincare brand toothbrush heads with it. The quality isn't very good.

Just one problem

I am disappointed in the area that holds the mouth wash. If you do not use all of what you put in - it leaks out. Doesn't seem to have a real tight seal. The rest of the item is good. It did take me a couple of times to learn how to get the best results between the teeth

Dies after two years or less

Divide the purchase price by two and that is the cost per year you will pay because the product is not built to last. When it starts vibrating loudly it is gone. If it is under warranty Philips may send you a replacement but it will also last less than two years. It's a great toothbrush while it lasts.

Dependable and portable

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My new Phillips toothbrush flew to Italy with me and cruised through 21 days of cleaning my teeth with only two charges, but never ran low. The carrying case was helpful, too, because we were always dashing off Pom some road trip. I didn't think to take its photo - overlooking Rome or perhaps Calcatta- but next time I go, I will!

I bought this that only lasted for a year. And way too expensive that didn't last longer. Now my toothbrush Is creating a lot of noise and i saw a lot of reviews they have the same problem. I won't recommend this product and don't waste your money for this kind of electric toothbrush!

Hi there, Thank you for sharing your feedback with us. We are sorry to hear about the experience with your Philips Sonicare toothbrush. This is not the experience we want you to have. We suggest you try a few possible causes and solutions to see if you can fix the issue. Sonicare toothbrushes use powerful vibrations to clean your teeth. The noise is louder than what a manual toothbrush makes. Your toothbrush will be noisier if you switch it on without a brush head. Make sure your toothbrush always has a brush head attached. A loose brush head could be the cause of your toothbrush's unusually loud noise. Make sure the brush head is firmly attached to the handle and isn't moving about. The handle and brush head will still have a tiny gap there to allow for vibration. Disconnect the brush handle from the head. Switch on your toothbrush. If the noise stops, the brush head is faulty or worn out. If the noise is still loud or unusual, the toothbrush may be broken. Your brush head has to be changed for a new one. We recommend replacing your brush head every three months. We hope this was helpful. If the issue still persists, please get in touch via Social Media. We’re available on Facebook (@Philips) and Twitter (@PhilipsCare). Don’t worry, if you don’t use Social Media, you can also reach out to us via the contact page: www.Philips.com/contact. Hope to speak to you soon! Best regards, Philips Consumer Care
