I expected much better from the Ghirardelli brand. They're far better than the craft store wafers, but I've had a couple of brands of block "almond bark" that taste better and melt just as well (and cost far less). Even at the sale price I don't think these worth getting.

Best chocolate

I love this white melting chocolate for all my holiday recipes, the opportunities are endless.

The dark chocolate wafers melt perfectly, you get a nice, smooth result with expected thickness. The white? Not even close. A fatty, thick consistency so there's no way to cleanly dip. What am I missing that everyone else likes about it??

Ghirardelli's choc chip (morsel) containing the same amt. of cocoa (60%) & do NOT contain hydrogenated oils (as this is not a trans fat, it still is artery clogging). I will not purchase again, but will buy their choc chips. So I assume the hyd. oil helps the wafers melt quicker? That can be the only reason why any company would do this to their customers.
