I had friends over for dinner and I use these plates along with my silver flatware and crystal wine glasses. These plates are study and look beautiful. When I first washed the dishes, a greasy residue was on it. Therefore, I rewashed the dishes and used a little bleach to get rid of the greasy residue. I

Strong enough to cut steak on ... but lightweight and relatively inexpensive so you dont feel bad when you throw them in the trash. We use at all large family picnics and dinners now including holidays. So nice not to have to do all those dishes. Makes any event you are hosting much more enjoyable.

These plates are so nice that my guest and I didn't want to throw them away. For a moment, I thought about washing and reusing them, but that would have defeated the purpose of an easy cleanup. The plates are elegant and will elevate your event. Great buy!
