Ordered 2 bags. 1 bag came completely fine, sealed and zipped appropriately. the 2nd bag was completely unzipped, the zipper completely broken and unhinged, and the bag punctured/broken with 1/2 of the rice all over. Both of the bags came in an enclosed shipping box and I knew that the hassle of returning the bag of rice would be greater than just throwing it away. The actual seal on top of the plastic bag was broken. I'm not sure how they inspect their merchandise before they ship, but this was a complete disaster. I've ordered numerous bags of rice from Amazon and never had a problem with the way it came. This was the first time ordering this product from Walmart. I will not be ordering this product from Walmart again.

I ordered 2 bags of this rice. When I went to used them I found that the whole bag of rice was full of bugs crawling all over the rice. It was very disappointing and waste of money. Both bags are Not good for cooking or consumption. They are bug crawling all over the rice.

I grew up in India as a kid and was used to eating rice almost every day. This rice is most like the rice my mother made for every occasion. I've had the rice at Chinese restaurants and South Indian restaurants. This is absolutely the best and tastes and has the aroma that I remember from ages ago.

Basmati rice this brand is always the best. The only thing I don’t like about having it sent to my home is when they put it on the hood of your car instead of bringing it to your front door as you’re supposed to Walmartneeds to consider who they used to be their mail service

Having tried various brands of Basmati rice, I can safely say that Royal is the clear best in quality, taste and authenticity. The bag comes with a convenient zipper so you don't need to worry about transferring it to another container once opened. For about $20, you get 20 lbs of rice (which is a LOT!). This goes a long way and it's an incredible value for money and fits in any budget without compromises in quality. Like with any rice, you may need to adjust the timing and amount of water depending on your cooking method. Add some oil to make it fluffier and garnishes for fragrance and aroma, and you can have your own authentic Basmatic rice any day of the week!

This is not 100 % Basmati Rice. It is 50-50 a mixture of Basmati Rice and a Cheap brand Rice. Completely different quality that Royal sells in a regular market(which is good). I don't know if Walmart knows about it or not. I am from that region so I know my Basmati.

I'm happy to find a large size to purchase, and love basmati rice. The burlap bag makes it easy to tote, and the inside plastic bag stores the rice. Con: the plastic bag inside on two of the three I ordered had multiple large holes in it (about one inch to 3 inches each) so I was worried about the rice getting stale or insects going inside. I froze the bags to kill off any insects, and used my own clips to close up the holes, so hopefully the rice will be good quality when I cook it.

I always buy Basmati rice Royal Brand from Walmart ONLY. I have tried many varieties of rice. This one isn't soggy, and it isn't sticky, stays non sticky throughout its lifecycle. The grains keep their shape and flavor in curry, or a pulav. Best output you can achieve when you make Biryani. All above are Indian cuisines :)
