Best rice ever

Once, you have used this rice, you will never want to eat any other kind of rice. Rinse, a few times, throw in pot with 2x the amount of water, some salt, garlic powder, and a dash of olive oil. cook until you see the top of the rice (water absorbed / evap) and then turn off and cover for 5-10mins. Best rice ever, delicated wonderful aroma and taste. Just buying my second sack 5 months later.

Basmati Rice, for snot-nosed overweight persons

I've actually not used any of this rice, because, I have a lot of other rice still. I purchased it because I was assured it is the best sort of rice for people who want to lose weight and have a lot of mucus to deal with. I have eaten basmati rice before and so I believe that it is helpful to me, due to experience. No idea if this particular brand is better or worse than any other, but, I did get it a couple of bucks cheaper than Sam's Club sold it for, and, that means WAY cheaper than at the cheap Indian food market I can sometimes get to. Plus, I like the bag it came in.

The BEST BASMATI RICE I've tried

I've been buying this brand for a while until my coworker said that they also sell his at Costco for $2.00 less. So I bought first and foremost because I like the bag, and cheaper and want to try. Wow, there's a very big difference especially the smell. The Costo one smells so bad and old unlike Royal, which smells so clean and new. I will just stick with this brand.

Royal Basmoti Rice.

I love this rice. I had been buying it for years at Sams but since I moved to Florida I haven’t had a membership there. It was hard to find. I am sure it will take me a while but I will eat it all eventually. First time to get a bag this large. I love rice though so no problem.

Basmati Rice is well worth the money.

First I read all the bad reviews, so i went thru half the bag, and found no bugs or dirt. I could not smell anything dry , so i cooked a cup full on the stove. Use 2 cups of water. Brought to a broil and than simmer for 17 min. Turn off heat let sit for 5 minutes. Smelled wonderful. Fuffy and tender with nice size grain. This is good rice for 1.00 a pound.

Its Real Basmati Rice that we eat in India

Basmati rice in India is considered to be best and royal in terms of fragrance, non stickiness, thin n long grain, about an inch after cooking. More it is aged, better it becomes in terms of non stickiness and taste. In fact big companies like Daawat, India Gate, Lal quilla, Kohinoor etc will specially store rice to age for 1-2 yrs, n we pay for ageing it. we have just moved in US from India a month back n missing our beloved Rice. U have to wash rice in plain water for 3-4 times till the water gets clear, soak for 10-15 min and either pressure cook it in 1.5 times water with just less than one whistle, or cook in open pan with 3-4 times water till tender n draining excess water. Sprinkle Pure Desi ghee on hot Rice n YUMMEEEYYYYYYY

It's great we love this rice

I love cooking with this rice. I'd first fry it until slightly toasted on high to medium fire ( you need to stand there moving rice around so it would not burn) with butter or oil which flavor you love. Then one cup of rice 2 cups of water. I boil my 4 cups of water first be careful water will jump up once put together with fried rice and pot is hot, don't get burned stand away and cover your hands) then turn fire on low and it cooks in minutes. You can add salt or vegetables we have fun one pot meals you can add chicken and coconut milk instead of water. It came out great with Garbanzo beans and chicken chicken added to pot . Good luck try it please post so I can try it too.

DISAPPOINTED!

I was hoping that this would be the product of old. NOT! Real Basmati has a distinctive flavor…this might as well have been Uncle Bens. No Basmati flavor at all. Oh, it wasn’t bad, it just wasn’t Basmati! Regardless of what the packaging said the source was. Don’t know what they do to it but Basmati and Thai Jasmine have none of the flavor that they used to. For the price, this was a waste of money!

Excellent as always

We’ve enjoyed this “Royal” brand of Basmati rice for many years. It’s still the high quality it has always been, and arriving in the burlap bag make it feel so authentic! In recent years, the recipe on the label has changed and now says 1 cup rice to 2 cups of water. We still get best results using 1 cup of rice to 1.5 cups of water.

Bugs

Bugs once I opened, The top of the cheap thin plastic bag that holds the rice had a little hole in it, some rice was out, in the burlap part, but saw some kind of bug in there. Dead but didn't look further. very small. Probably weevils. Not worth $20 to get bugs in your home!
