i have a tear in my shoulder area-i tried this and right after-i could taste the menthol taste in my mouth-i wondered if this has happened to anyone else-i googled it and got a lot of stuff that didn't answer the question? i 'did' help the pain though.

Bengay Ultra Strength really works and overall I was impressed. As soon as you o_pen the box the smell brings you back but I like it. Sad but couldn`t use it but at night and then had to wash it off in the morning or else everyone could smell it. For my joint pain, that I get from day to day activities and working out it worked well. I think it`s worth the try just remember to wash your hands or put it on using gloves like I did.

Used ben gay years ago. Moved to warmer climate. Hadn't felt the need for it till this past winter. Sent grandchild to store for me.( i rarely go anywhere after dark). She brought back the ultra strength and said that was the only type they carried. I rubbed a pea size on both knees expecting a tingle, none looked for an experation date ,stiil good . Grandchild said she'd return it the next day. After a bit 1st left knee then 2nd knee magically were pain free...

I received the bengay from home tester club and used it on all the areas that affect me. I was very surprised at how well it really worked. I have never tried any ointments or creams before so I was sort of skeptical. I`m glad it worked and I`ll purchase.

I used Ben Gay ultra strength to ease back, arm, and chest pain resulting from acute bronchitis. I used it once. Then six hours later applied it again. It immediately turned red and burning, so I washed it off as quickly as I could - but not soon enough! It caused 2nd degree burns over the whole area where it had been applied. I am still hurting badly after 3 weeks, prednisone and Rx pain killers from my family doctor. I have never had sensitive skin or skin allergies of any kind! I did not know until AFTER using it that the FDA warms about this possibility. There should be a warning on the packaging to try it on a small area. BEWARE!!!

I have been using this product, for two days, for neck pain. It hasn't done anything but smell. I've applied it to the painful area and nothing. This product doesn't work. It doesn't even feel like it's doing anything. It just stinks. A waste of money.

I like the smell of Bengay Ultra Strength. It has a clean healthy smell, (Wintergreen?) I often use homeopathic treatments and the smell of some of them is TERRIBLE!, but if they work, I don`t care how it smells, I want to be functional. Bengay started to work imediately, I was soon able to perform my job functions without any knowledge o0f the pain, it was gone. I needed to apply it again at bedtime, but I was able to sleep through the night, unlike the night before.
