The battery capacity is higher than a lot of comparably priced models, and the form factor is fairly compact. The USB port on the top is handy for charging the occasional portable device. It's two soon to know two key things: how it stands up during a power outage (haven't had one) and how well the battery ages (too soon to tell).

I have two of these in my Living Room. One is for computer and the other is for tv & components. They work but the software will only allow you to monitor one..

Love that apc added a usb so you can charge your cellphone or other usb devices and more battery backup sockets and love the more modern design. That takes up less space. And the price is very affordable. Great job apc

This replaces a 1000 VA UPS that I've had for years. It finally stopped working but served well for the higher-powered devices of years past. This is 675 VA unit is working well and is much smaller. I like the APC products. This one joins three other APC units that I use at home.

I have been using APC UPS products for 20 years and they are excellent. I connect all my electronic devices through a UPS so if the voltage goes out of range in either direction it switches immediately to battery thus protecting your equipment. Once, the transformer down the road failed and began sending 145 volts to all my outlets! The UPS's began to alarm and I checked the voltage with a meter and called the power company. The power company sent a truck out and immediately changed out the transformer. Because of the UPS alarms, I was the only one on that transformer that detected the problem. I have used this model before and it worked well.

If you have frequent power outages, this comes in handy. Never worry about resetting your alarm clock when you are plugged into the battery backup. Plug in a light and you can continue reading your favorite book. Plug in your modem and router and stay online with your laptop.

Recently put on-line, & found this device very easy to set-up & use.

These things are great for our frequent power blips. Keeps computer humming along, plus surge protection.

I prefer these to power strips since I am not ready for whole house system. Some electronics in each room. Wish I could also buy the replacement battery here.

This is the 2nd one that I have bought. The first unit I was using as a UPS for my FIOS ONT and have had it in service for over 3 years with no problems. The only down side of this UPS is that the replacement battery is about $45.
