I was too naive to think that P=V*I, and forget this is only true for DC. For AC you need to time a power factor, which equals just 360W of power on this model. No wonder why my laptop constantly draining its battery and has worse performance. I was astounded to see nobody actually mentioned this issue. With my new desktop which has a 550W power unit, I'd need a much bigger UPS to run it with the LCD and speakers, etc. I'll probably save this one for the modem, router, and possibly TV if there's enough power.

I purchase this from Sam's to use as a backup for my TV. When it continually cycled green Yellow Green I contacted APC technical support. The product is advertised as 360-watt/675-volt ampere output power capacity. My TV has a maximum 330 watts. APC Technical support stated "Your UPS has a max capacity of 360 watts and per NEC you can only use 80% of it which is 288 watts. Beyond 288 watts it will overload. You have 2 option, you either upgrade your UPS to a higher capacity or keep your UPS and use it in other device that is lower than 288 watts." I wish I would have known that before I ordered. I cannot return because I tossed the box. This is a great UPS if you have less than 289 watts.

So far, so good. Just installed 3 of these in the office so can't say how effective they'll be over time.

I like these APC UPS units. They are fairly cheap and work like they are supposed to. One of mine just went out. 3 1/2 years old. Needs a new battery. A whole new APC is $7 more than just a battery.
