I've used 5 hours for years for long days or road trips. I don't use it consistently, which is probably why my body responds well to the extra boost. I make sure not to overeat or wait until I'm deathly tired...that's when it seems to work best.

These are very useful for maintaining alertness on long automobile trips, so long as their use is not abused. Make sure you stop and get a suitable amount of rest and sleep during any 24-hour period, as the long-term effects of excessive fatigue, like pushing straight through for 36-48 hours is definitely self-defeating. If you absolutely positively MUST get there fast, take a plane and rent a car at the other end.

A recent YouTube doctor's report stated that you should never take more than 10 mg per day of vitamin B6. 5-hour energy has 40 mg per bottle. That would limit you to about one swig per bottle per day and would seriously effect the other helpful ingredients of the product.
