It says "New and Improved" on the canister. The only thing new is it's bigger. It certainly isn't improved. It used to have a milky flavor, but not anymore. I think they took the powdered milk out of the recipe to make more money. I won't be purchasing another.

My kids love hot chocolate after being out in the cold. I use it as a reward when they have to do chores outside during cool/cold weather. They really look forward to the chance to have a cup of steaming hot cocoa!

My norm is making my own hot chocolate starting with a little water, melting raw coco and turbinado sugar with a dash of salt. Once melted adding cow milk or almond milk. While heating sometimes a dash of cinnamon and a smaller dash of clove. My point... Swiss Miss Hot Cocoa Mix has a place in life. When in a mad rush or at the office, or when time or place is not convenient, the Swiss Miss Hot Cocoa Mix does the trick. Would be agreeable if they eliminated the corn syrup and any form of hydrogenated oil. Enjoy!

Mixes up like brown water and doesn’t take taste much better. Old formula was wonderful and creamy. Customers almost immediately stopped buying when I ran out of old and opened the new formula. I am returning all cans and throwing away the opened can. DON’T waste your money on this one.

I only ordered 8 items. One can of Bush baked beans and one can of Progressive Minestrone soup; both came damaged. I also ordered a $10.50 4.78 lb cardboard canister of Swiss Mix Hot Cocoa mix. This was shipped separately from the other two cans. It too was damaged, prior to putting it in the shipping box. Both shipping boxes were in perfect condition, so it proves these 3 cans were damaged before they shipped them.

I agree with the other reviewers that the new formula just doesn't taste good. If I were making one little mug of cocoa, I'd make it with milk instead of water, but I'm buying a 76.5 oz canister. I'm actually buy lots of canisters. Mixing with milk is not affordable or practical. My employees complain that the powder settles to the bottom, so I'm hesitant to have them increase the amount of Swiss Miss they add. We serve complimentary cocoa, so in the end, this is our most affordable option, and I'll keep using it. But it's not tasty like it used to be.
