I called Vitamix directly since the box was sealed with a label saying quality control checked which I had never seen on a new Vitamix carton that you would see, for example, department store. I gave the representative the serial # and he said that it was a certified refurbished unit. I asked if it still had a 7 year warranty, since refurbished models only have a 5 year warranty. He said it was 7 year warranty. The price at Sam's is still below what a refurbished 5300 model is, but that fact should be noted in the description on the website. that it is a refurbished model.

This is the best blender. I was nervous about spending so much on a blender but I am happy I did. This Vitamix can break up anything in a short amount of time. Smoothies are made in a minute and without chunks; no need to cut ingredients down small. Definitely worth the money!

Bought this blender a couple months ago and love it. We now have two. We bought the first one over 10 years ago and it still runs great, but we wanted this one for our motorhome. It makes great smoothies, just zips through the ice cubes! It makes great pizza dough and flour from whole grains. It's always dependable to do a great job!

I bought that 2 weeks ago when my husband and I went shopping at Sams club, I could not believe how great that blender was. I call it "Monster". The first time I used it I made a superfood power drink, mixed al the greens included moringa, kale, fruits, protein powder, chia seeds, hemps seeds, flex seeds. OMG! It was a real, my family could not guess the ingredients in that drink. I tried the soup with my own recipe, I am telling you, everything they said about the Vitamix are real, NO LIE! BUY IT, YOU WILL NOT REGRET IT. I KEPT ASKING MYSELF WHY I WAIT THAT LONG BEFORE I GET IT!

This Vitamix blender is a beast. It has a 7 year warranty on everything. Free shipping both ways if it needs repaired. Made in Ohio I believe. Phenomenal customer service! I called when I first got mine so they could register it and adjust the date for my warranty because it was manufactured a year and a half before i bought it. The lady was surprised because she said they usually don’t sit on the store shelf more than 6 months. I submitted my receipt to Vitamix and my warranty started from the date on the receipt. This blender does a heck of a job making smoothies and protein shakes. Very very powerful!!!! Can’t beat the warranty. Comes with a mixing stick if you need to mix anything up while it is running.

Wow! I've gone through a few blenders in my life, looking for a machine that could puree my smoothies like the smoothie shops. I could never bring myself to spending hundreds of dollars on a Vitamix or Blendtec, but I wished I had sooner. It would have saved me money all these years on lesser machines and have worked right. The last 10 years I've had a Ninja, but after just my first trial smoothie on this Vitamix, the Ninja is getting donated. My benchmark is how well the machine purees a smoothie with kale and its stems. This Vitamix blends it so fine, you can barely see any kale flecks.

By the time I was married, I had already owned more than a dozen blenders (Blender Queen, Breville, Cuisinart, Kenmore, KitchenAid, Oster, Vitamix, and Waring Commercial). I never owned--but have used--Blendtec machines. Over the years and after thousands of blend cycles with the above mix of blenders, the Vitamix remains my top choice. My Vitamixes have been utterly dependable (going back to my 1974 Model 3600 that still works well); are backed by top customer service; are straightforward to use; and produce the best product, be it the smoothest of smoothies, cold and hot soups, chunky dips, nut butters, or perfectly pureed sauces that pass the sieve test. I use my 5300 every day, and it never fails to impress, especially in an age of cheaply made, poorly performing appliances.

I thought long and hard before spending the money for a Vitamix Blender as they are expensive. Finally I took the plunge and bought the 5300 Blender. All I can say is why did I wait so long this blender is GREAT it can make a frozen smoothie in seconds and it is thick and could be eaten with a spoon like ice cream. My old blender took so long that the smoothie was thin as cold almond milk. I LOVE this blender and HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT!!!!!

Our family uses the vitamix 2-3 times per day on average making smoothies and smoothy bowls with almond milk, frozen bananas, frozen fruit and veggies. We used a regular blender for years, but we heard this was the next level. Our machine has been in twice now for repairs. It is under warranty, but it’s been the same issue and honestly we are not pleased. The Vitamix rep said our warrenty last through 2024. Our only option is to upgrade our machine and they will give us a $100 voucher for ours if we upgrade to a fancier model vitamix. I would love to hear from other vitamix owners. Have you upgraded to the pro series? Was it worth it for you?

I love this blender. I have been researching them for a while and finally decided to buy this one. My husband and I have been using it to make green smoothies. It really does a great job of completely blending up the greens (spinach and kale). I haven't put ice in it yet but it goes right through the frozen fruit I use in the smoothies. I highly recommend this one. It stays out on my counter since I use it every day.
