I'd been using a traditional blender for veggie shakes but decided to break down and get the Vitamix. Sams had a great price on it and wanted to experience the difference. I had to blend, carrots, apples, celery, beet concoction for 5 min on my old blender however this one does it in about 45 seconds and there's no solids left only blended material. This thing is loud so you might want some shooting muffs on when using, save your ears. Also its tall with the lid on 17'' which prevents me from opening the cabinet door. I have to leave the lid off if I keep it on the counter. Its 7.5'' wide and solid and heavy duty, not going to move around on the counter! Overall happy with the purchase!

Vitamix is a game changer! It’s a GREAT way to get my greens in and my kids also. There’s so many things you can do with it and unlike my old blender, it doesn’t sound like it’s gonna explode when you use it! Such a great investment! If you’re wondering, yes, you do need this!

I had my doubts about a "mixer" that cost this much. My brother has an older model and he swears by it for the last 15 years. He's never had a problem and is always mixing smoothies. So, it went on sale at Sam's Club for $60 off and I caved. I'm glad I did. Everything my brother said about the Vitamix is true. It mixes, beats, chops, blends just about everything edible. And it truly cleans up well too. It's very powerful and rattles the surrounding things on the counter (not a bad thing). I also like that it's one of the few things I have in my house that's still American made.

This thing delivers an excellent smoothie, but it smells and sounds like an un-oiled tractor! I have to hold it down onto the base at speeds above 4, not secure at all (it jumps!) I’ve been using this machine daily for two weeks and it’s for sure going back!

Easy to feel the quality after using any other machine. The Ninja burned up in 6 months. Seeds are completely ground - cannot tell they are in my smoothie. I recommend this blender highly!!!

I purchased this to be able to make almond butter without burning up my blender. This works great! In a matter of a couple minutes it turned out perfect. Great for smoothies too.

I have only had this a few weeks but it is a wonderful appliance. I have chopped vegetables for canning and smoothies so far. The results were perfect and quick. The best thing is I really don't need other attachments to do what my smoothie maker, food processor or blender did. I am looking forward to making my own peanut butter. If possible don't settle for China made. This is a powerful machine and made in the USA.

Love VitaMix and love the color (red) and lower profile of this new one which now fits under our cupboards with the cover on. We had another VitaMix (taller container) for the past 20 years which has now been passed on to our daughter and is still going strong. I love how powerful these are. We have put in large chunks of carrots, apples and other fruits and vegetables, utilizing every part that is edible to make hot soups, smoothies, ice cream, and purées. We also grind our own flour and powders.

I have been wanting a Vitamix for over a decade. I kick myself now for waiting so long. Upon taking it out of the box, I proceeded to make almond milk, almond butter, the best fresh applesauce I have ever tasted. Since, I've made hot butternut squash soup and my homemade almond milk protein shake every morning. This machine is fantastic. It truly assists in my quest to only consume fresh, unprocessed foods. I cannot reccomend it enough.

I have done a lot of “homework” on blenders. There are so many to choose from. My main blender need is for smoothie bowls, so I didn’t care much about a blender’s versatility. Ultimately I chose to purchase the Vitamix 5300 based on price, good reviews, and the warranty. I wasn’t sure if I’d like the red color, but at the time I purchased, it was the only color available. Since unboxing, I have fallen in love with the red. Also, I’d read reviews that because the base of the blender jar is wide, blending small portions can be frustrating. My fix is to always blend large portions. I purchased larger bowls. So far, I’m happy with my purchase, and I’m happy with my XL smoothie bowls.
