I used to own one for years sold the old one to my friend last year, and bought this one for myself. I have always love this machine. This set come with a lot of accessories is even better. I never had problem with the one I had. this one should be the same. I am using it to make smoothies, drinks, soups, peanut butter, and dressings.....etc. With it's multifunction feature, I can get rid of all other small appliances and keep my kitchen neat and clean. Really love it!!!

Best price with the most accessories that I could find on a Vitamix anywhere. Owned for almost a month now and it works AWESOME (using daily). I'm on a Paleo diet and find this very useful in preparing meals. Didn't think I'd use the extra accessories that much, but ended up using every piece almost daily. Cons are it's quite loud, but I have yet to see a blender that is quiet. Also it won't fit under the cabinets with the lid on, but it's so easy to slide in and out on a countertop when using, that issue doesn't matter to me now. I researched a TON of reviews on blenders before purchasing and this brand always came out on top. Sent in the warranty and hope it will last, since it is pricey.

I love my Vitamix 5200, and getting the extra dry and wet containers was a real plus. I make a lot of smoothies with hemp seed, pumpkin seed and chia seed, and it comes out so smooth, that no one knows there is a seed in the shake. Also, I made coconut butter with organic, flaked coconut and it was 1/2 the price of the prepared version. Next I am going to try coconut milk, almond milk and almond butter. CN

I purchased the Vitamix 5200 to replace a Nutribullet that I purchased 2 years ago. I told myself I would get the Vitamix if I was still using the Nutribullet for 2 years. The Vitamix is by far exceeding my expectations. It is used every morning to make vegetable, fruit and nut extracts. This machine will be used for years to come! Sam's was selling this at a great deal. It came with a large and small wet container and 1 small dry, a recipe book, 3 spatulas and several plastic cutting. All of this came at a price of $539.00. This was a steal.

The Vitamix 5200 deluxe kit that I bought is the best value in terms of getting all of the equipment that will make this unit work at all levels. Two small containers plus a large make all of the dry and wet processing a snap. Just made strawberry sorbet and it was delicious. I can only wish that the price did not have to be more than $500 but then it would be a tremendous value as opposed to just good. If you buy from one of the TV sellers you get less for your money because you'll want more accessories and have to pay full price for them, not the bundle price. A different member club also has this unit but not nearly the amount of equipment in their bundle. Sam's was the best deal.

Seriously, the best machine ever. Yes VERY expensive! bust worth it! The best part of the vitamix is the fact that u don't have to unscrew the bottom of the blender to clean, which wore out the seal. I recently star ted juicing and man does this machine work! I recommend watermelon and mint. Amazing drink!!!!! (Cut up watermelon, blend, strain and put fresh mint leaves in the jar/cup and let set overnight). And my favorite part is put in some fresh whole vegetables, cream, or cheese, put on high and in minutes u have COOKED soup! Sorry for the typos....autocorrect! GRRRR

I bought this Vitamix 5200 from Sam's club because it was the best deal I could find for this blender. I researched for a few weeks for a blender that will be best for making smoothies... I read many reviews on the Vitamix and the Blendtec and decided that the Vitamix was the better investment. I have had my Vitamix for 2 weeks now and I make smoothies every morning for myself and my husband. In the evening I make smoothies for my kids when they come home from school... On weekends we all have smoothies for breakfast and another just before dinner. My kids are 13 and 15 years old and this is a great way for them to drink a lot of greens instead of eating them... My recipe includes mostly Kale and Spinach then I add half a lemon, berries. a banana, grapes, aloe vera leaf from our garden and sometimes yogurt... YUM... we all love our healthy smoothies.

This machine is truly a powerhouse. Have been amazed at the capabilities from wonderful smoothies to the finest ground flour from whole berries. Makes wonderful breads. May be an expensive machine upfront but the fact its American Made and warranted 7 years was a deciding factor. Sams had the best price for what was included in the package and I was very pleased with the ship time as well..So glad Sams finally offered this product.

My absolute favorite appliance. I think a double blade (one on top of the other) would be great, maybe as a inter-changeable blade. I think it would emulsify better with that. There needs to be a certain amount of fluid to really mix things up with that single blade in the bottom. That double blade seems to work well in some of those other mixers - however they don't have near the power!. Mine is older and would love to get the two smaller size pitchers to go with it. I've made soups (and yes, they get hot!) I use it almost every day to make my power smoothies. Cleans out so easy - put a drop of soap and water in it and spin it nice and clean! You won't be sorry with this blender - it's the best!!
