I have been using this for many years for Fellowship Breakfast at our church. Everyone raves about it I tried to grab this at my Springfield Il store and it has been discontinued! This is a 5 star product and I noticed there are a lot of new Gluten free flours so I will look for another supplier.

I found Morrison's Country Style Peppered Gravy Mix in a salvage store, and it was amazing! It is wonderful and peppery, great on chicken fried steak, or add some sausage to make wonderful sausage gravy. My family and I love it. It tastes just like what Golden Corral restaurant uses on their chicken fried steak, and may actually be the same thing, as it is a food service brand. Now to the down side: I can't find it anymore! The little store I got it at no longer has it, and no Walmarts in the state of Michigan carry it. Both my mother and I really want more of this and are hoping that Walmart will start carrying it here, or else put it online so we can order. It really is great stuff!

I consider myself a gravy snob. I will say this tasted a little salty to me at first. Good gravy does need a lot of salt but this one seemed a bit on the salty side, but when on top of biscuits it was delicious. I cannot believe how easy this was to mix up. I'm planning to serve a lot of people for breakfast in a couple of weeks and needed a quick gravy and this is going to be perfect. I'm excited to try the recipes on the company's website.

This stuff is great for your own blend of biscuits and gravy , country style burgers etc. One bag will last for several meals at a fraction of the price of individual serving bags. Once you start using this you may never go back to using the little packages of other brands.

I've been debating trying this for a couple months now bcoz it's such a big bag and didn't want too throw it out if I didn't like it. I finally decided to buy a bag last night. Made the small batch today and am very disappointed. It has no flavor other than plain ole boring milk gravy. Country gravy should have a slight breakfast meat flavor like ham/bacon/sausage and this doesn't. I much prefer southern mills(can't remember except mills is in the name) and don't care for pioneer at all bcoz it has a weird chemical flavor. I guess this could be used as a "base" for "real" country gravy with sausage in it or using the grease after you fried sausage or ham to give it the "real" country gravy flavor but, I like making it from scratch better or using the other brand when in a hurry. I'll try to find someone to give the rest of this mix to but, everyone I know also wants their country gravy to have a breakfast meat flavor also.

I loved this brand. I use to make it all the time. This recent batch was so salty it over powered everything else. With supply chain issues I figure extra salt is added as a preservative. As a person who does not use excess salt, I don’t think I would purchase again!

This item is deliberately mislabeled as a 3-pack. The description says 3 1.5lb bags, which would make this a good price. But I only received 1 bag, which makes this not such a good deal for what is basically flour, pepper and cornstarch anyway. Now I see someone else had the same experience and also wrote a negative review. WALMART COULD HAVE UPDATED THE DESCRIPTION FOR THE ITEM TO BE ACCURATE BUT CHOSE NOT TO.

I bought this on impulse at Walmart. I was so pleased and surprised that it was a great gravy mix,but found out it is also a great thickener for stews and soups,besides being a gravy mix. It is lightly seasoned,BUT you cannot take seasoning OUT! Putting more in is easy,at least for me,most likely the same for other good cooks. I have been starting my homemade gravy from cold start with all ingredients in the skillet/pan. Doing it Morrison's hot start way has taught me how to do gravy the right way,almost instantly. From now on,this gravy mix is going to be in my cupboard,always.

I bought this gravy just to try something different. My husband made it the first time and ever since (it tells you it is easy)! I LOVE this gravy! Better than homemade. I could eat 10 small biscuits and then couldn't wait till the next time. Then, of all things, I forgot where I bought it. I was looking at Sam's on line and there it was. I am so excited and can't wait until it opens in the morning. If you like gravy, this is the one to buy!!

I purchased this product at the Canton, TX. Walmart and really liked it but can't find it here in the Rhinelander, WI. store. Is there any way we can get it here. I would really like it and now I hear they also have a brown gravy mix that I would really like to try. How do I get it into our local Walmart???
