Been using this product for a very long time and then when it switched to lightweight, it was easier for me to lift and use. The only difference is the price. It would be nice if we can drop the price a bit specially with these harder times I got two cats so therefore cost me about $50 every time I have to fill and I can get pricey especially when you're on Social Security. Something is different about this litter the last two times I have purchased it. It is darker, doesn't absorb liquid, and most of all DOES NOT CONTROL ODOR EVEN THE FIRST DAY! The cat's paws and sinuses are irritated. My entire house smells like cat urine. There is nothing to indicate on the packaging they've changed the contents but with current manufacturing standards how can anyone know what the problem is?? I am out over $50 on useless cat litter.

If you are looking for a low-dust litter, this is not it. if you are looking for a reliable product at a good price, this is one. used the regular litter for a long time and was satisfied, but I switched to the light weight version some time ago and I am happy with it.

I get it because I love how light weight it is and easy to carry. Not to mention easier on their paws as well.. Dust still gets in your throat when you scoop and they still track it throughout the house, but it doesn’t tear my trash bags.. I soooo recommend this for everyone!!

I've been purchasing the 17lb bins of Tidy Cats Lightweight Litter for years. The Red lid, the Gray lid, the Blue lid etc. Never had an issue... Til last 6 months or so. Go through a bin every few months. The last 3 bins I've purchased have not been the same "formula". It's like cement when cat urinates or a very solid clay-like material that spreads out all over the bottom of litter box. Awful!! My cat literally had a physical mid summer and is fine, so it's not her urine! Switched to something else just to see if it was the litter itself and sure enough it's the Tidy Cats Litter that's the issue. I've switched brands and will not be purchasing this brand ever again.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This litter had changed my household for sure!! We have 5 cats and clean this litter daily and add a little when needed it's great, keeps smell under control and it's not crazy heavy come to monthly box dumping!

The scent is what my house smells like. I am switching to unscented. The scent is as bad as cat smells after they use it. Kind of like that commercial where they were like now it smells like poop and flowers. That is worse than it by itself because the scent is stronger and I still smell what it attempts to cover but it does not work.

I couldn't wait to get back to the Tidy Cat Lightweight Litter! It keeps down the stink, there's no dust and the clumps don't break apart while scooping. Best Litter paws down!

I did not have a problem with the product but I ordered two tiny cat light weight and I thought one light weight I want regular heavy cat litter. I ordered the light weight because I am an elderly person and I don’t like to pick up the heavy cat litter. So that is why I was disappointed. I am OK with the product. Just not getting what I ordered that’s what’s was upsetting. I would’ve taken any other light weight tidy cat. Thank you

The white particles in this litter will end up all over your house. Litter boxes are in the basement and the entire floor, the steps going upstairs (carpeted) has to be swept up every time they use the box since the particles are easily tracked. These particles are in every room of the house even though it is cleaned regularly. The clumping is not as good as cheaper brands. If urine is anywhere near the inside edges of the litterbox, the material is not absorbent enough to make a good clump. I use plenty of product in the box about 4 inches deep. Disappointed since it was lightweight but hate the multiple cleanings necessary every day and with the high price, it doesn't seem worth it to me.
