One of my cats is declawed and when he would use his poop shoot house the litter would clump up under his paws leaving him whinning in discomfort.And he wouldnt use his house anymore. It is light weight and easy to lift but i dont think any cat should be using this type of litter it doesnt do well for cats.

Great Product. I am an elder so the normal 40 lb buckets/packages are too heavy for me to handle. This product is light weight and clumps well. The clumps hold up well in my two cat household. The only issue I have is that it seems to track a little more than what I used to use. But the lighter weight offsets any issue with the tracking. It also works well in my Litter-Robot.

Having my first cat in a few years I wasn't able to find my old trusted brand of kitty litter, Max Scoop. Being in a small apartment odor control is at the top of my list of priorities, this litter being lighter than others caught my eye (third floor walkup), I decided to give it a try. Tidy Cats Lightweight is a good litter. My cat is a young male eating medium quality kitten food. I don't smell the litter at all, there is a slight perfume scent that I only notice when I'm scooping. I do scoop at least once a day into a Litter Locker. Clumping is adequate. There are sometimes small pieces that break off if I shake the scoop too vigorously but mostly it's not a problem. There is a bit of tracking a couple of feet in front of the litter box but it doesn't go farther than that and I don't find pieces on furniture or in my cats toes. I keep a small broom and dust pan beside the box for tidying up, the extra step is worth not having to carry heavier litter up my stairs.

Tidy Cat is awesome. Been using for many years. Couple decades actually. This particular one does not control odor. Not at all. I have just 2 cats and scoop daily. Twice a day with this one. ugg. I had the pail of "Lightweight Clean Blossoms" previous to this one. IT IS fantastic. But Its hard to find. I cant get it where I shop. So sad. Moving on to the next-I just purchased regular weight with "glade". Heavy but I'll check with the kitties and see how it goes. with the nose.

The only complaint I have is this creates a layer of dust on furniture and my cat tracks it all over apartment. It’s unfortunate because it’s so lightweight and easy for me to lift. It clumps fine and my cat likes it. If I %26could figure out how to quell the dust and keep her from tracking it I’d continue buying it.

many people told me to use the arm and hammer brand cat litter and said it worked great, but it didn't. I would smell stinky litter/ cat smell n my house even though i kept his litter box cleaned out all the time and scooped right after my cat would use the bathroom. I switched to tidy cats with 24/7 ammonia blocker and it has worked great I also use a little bit of arm %26 Hammer deaoderizer n the bottom of the litter box. Now my house smells normal and doesn't smell like cat litter at all. This tidy cats cat litter smells souch better!!!!

This litter doesn’t work well at keeping down the odor. You have to clean the litter box 2-3 times a day at a minimum. Not worth the trade between weight and effectiveness. If you work long hours or are out for long periods, this isn’t the litter for you.

The perfume smell is too much! Actually stinks. Cats would not use for almost a day. They all cried,walked around it and walked off. Very unhappy. Been getting Tidy Cat lightweight unscented 21 day from Walmart in the 19 lb. buckets. They like that and I believe it is so much healthier for the kidneys. Almost $4.00 cheaper at Sams though but won’t buy it again! First I noticed how they avoided it, then how they excessively cleaned their paws and legs. Ingesting all that fragrance can’t be good for them. There is a cleaner smell with the Tidy Cat Lightweight 21 day Unscented than with this scented litter from Sams after almost 2 weeks! In fact after 3.5 weeks, I still couldn’t smell any ammonia odor with the Walmart brand. I use 2 litter boxes and clean religiously every 3 weeks now. I almost killed my old Schatzi girl by using Fresh Step scented and mostly just scooping out the waste and seldom actually washing out the box. My vet told me the phosphorus in these scents can cause kidney failure. Three years later, she’s totally recovered ! Well, she actually recovered fully about a year after I switched to the unscented and cleaned the litter boxes out every 3 weeks! I can’t believe I would risk her getting sick again to save $4.09 every 3 weeks! Bad cat mom! So please Sams! Consider this review and offer the unscented version of this! I now also have 2 almost 1 yr.old kittens who really want to be healthy. The lightweight 3 week Unscented Tidy Cat is the best! It really lasts that long! And once people try it, they will switch and everyone will be healthier for it! As a senior, it is so much easier to haul saving me unnecessary back pains. Otherwise my litter business goes to Walmart. Please stock the Unscented Lightweight 21 day Tidy Cat litter please! It neutralizes odours by using carbon pellets or something! P. S. Also has the least amount of dust I’ve ever seen! Thank you

Ok, so we have 9 indoor cats, we use a lot of litter, especially when we need to do a litter change. While this litter is not dust free, it is lower dust than the other Tidy Cat versions. It is also a lot lighter, which helps because we use 7 larger boxes, and when I say large, i mean large, one of our litter boxes holds 2 pails of this stuff, it used to weight like 70 lbs, now it weights about 40, so that is a big improvement. The cats don't seem to notice the difference, but we did mix 1/2 old and 1/2 new for a while. Even thought this is 5$ more per pail the lower dust is a big help and the pails are easier to handle, especially for my wife. As a bonus, we use these pails to organize our life, the pails are easy to stack and we use them for like hats/gloves, tools, and christmas decorations.
