[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love Tidy Cats Lightweight, finally there is a cat litter that won't break my back trying to bring it home. I prefer to buy the big jugs of cat litter so that way I don't have to go to the store that often but with my 4'11" frame with not a lot of muscle, lifting those jugs was always difficult. But with Tidy Cats new lightweight litter I no longer have to worry about that! It also has the same effectiveness as the heavy stuff so how is there even a question on which to buy? I say go for Tidy Cats Lightweight when you are purchasing litter!

I wanted to tell you how terrific Tidy Cats Light Weight cat litter is! I have 3 cat boxes on the 2nd floor of my home in a room that is the furthest from the front door as can be. I have been dragging heavy new litter up the stairs and down the hallway, and heavy used litter back down the hallway and down the stairs for 12 years. I saw new lighter weight litters from both Tidy Cat and Cat's Pride. While the Cat's Pride was 1/2 the price of the Tidy Cat, it was heavier and didn't clump very tight. The Tidy Cat Light Weight litter is a wonderful product! Not only is it much easier to drag upstairs and downstairs, it clumps very tightly! Even after litter has been scooped out for several weeks, the remaining litter still scoops just as tightly as does the new litter. This saves on having to dump the leftover litter out because it lost its clumping ability. I just add new litter to the depth I need, and I'm set for several more weeks of scooping! Thank you, thank you, thank you for this fantastic product! :)

I picked up the lightweight formula when I was pregnant and needed something less heavy, to our surprise, we liked is WAY more then any other scoopable litter. Because it's lightweight, the clumps don't break up when scooping, like with a heavier litter. Our litter lasts about 60% longer now! Also, somehow it tracks less!

I bought this about a month ago to try against our other Tidy cat litter. I was skeptical because it felt like there was nothing in there, so light. This littler is amazing, and yes it lasts longer that the other. There is no smell, every clump and wet spot comes out completely. I am a believer and have changed to the Lightweight! :)

The cats walk away from the littler box and take the litter along. It is so light that it sticks to their feet and goes EVERYWHERE! EVERYWHERE! I'm throwing out the 1/2 of the box that is left. It is NOT 99.0% dust free either. It is worst than any other littler I've tried. I can't keep up with the dust.

Tidy Cat had sent me a sample bottle of this litter (regular size) and I thought my only complaint was how the cats paws sank down to the bottom of the pan with this stuff. A month or so down the line we decided to try another bottle of it. I can smell it's fragrance all throughout the house and I'm hating it. I think I'm going to put some vinegar in a spray bottle and see if I can neutralize the scent a little. I prefer this litter with the Litter Genie because the regular stuff is so dense and heavy, but I just can't tolerate the smell. • They say the 8.5lb = a regular 20lb but they charge far more for the lightweight. • I didn't find the dust to be a problem. • It seems to last a good while. I want $15 to last closer to a month, not just two weeks (8.5lb) • I guess I'll be sticking with Tidy Cat Scoop (blue label) (20lb 2/$16 Petco) even though it weighs a ton

I bought this litter after getting frustrated with my old litter getting stuck to the bottom of the pan. I will never choose another cat litter after using this one. It's light weight but gets the job done! I don't have to scrape the litter box to get everything out and after I scoop out what needs to be its back to looking like I just put in in the pan. It still has a fresh fragrance after days of use without an ammonia smell going everywhere.

I have used Tidy Cats Breathable and Small Spaces, both of which I love, and recommend to anyone.  Thought a light weight litter would be good.  NOT!  The dust is terrible when I pour it or scoop it.  And because it's lightweight, it gets scratched right out of the litter pan.  NEVER buy this!  I'm giving this a one star only because there is no zero star!!
