I bought one bucket to try it and it was great with a lot less dust than the other tidy cat scoopable litter. But i thought it was to expensive and so for that reason i won't be buying it anymore. I'll be sticking to the 35lb bucket with the blue or red lids.

I just cleaned out 2 litter boxes (of 5)  and replaced the old litter with the lightweight.  We have 4 rescue cats, two of whom are tripods and need to be able to support themselves on 3 legs while using the litter box. Not easy with this new litter. I hate it - dust all over the place; does not clump well; the cats kick it out of the boxes so more to clean up;and  it sticks to the scoop.  I was excited to try it as I'm small and have 5 boxes to fill, but now I have to go out and get regular litter to replace what I used PLUS I'm landed with two large unwanted Lightweight Litter.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was given the chance to try Tidy Cats Performance Light Weight kitty Litter. I personally like the kitty liter. It helped with odor and really is light. Woth back issues i found this to be perfect. However my cat didnt like it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased this product to see if it would reduce the weight of my kitty litter. With two growing cats, we produce a ton of waste. This has made trash bags rip in the past. I was very pleased after the first use to see the overall weight was nearly cut in half. I expected there to be a trade-off with the scent masking, but that was note the case. Excellent product. I will use again.

99.9% dust free??? That is a joke right there. When I'm pouring the litter in the box, I have to close my eyes and hold my breath because of the huge plume of fine dust. It does not clump very well and does NOTHING for odor! I love the original "heavy" Tidy Cats 24/7 cat litter and will be purchasing that from now on (if it even still comes in the original form).

My mom gave me this litter because her cats are finicky and refused to use it. I was skeptical because I've tried over 20 different litters purported to be "the best ever!" and they've all been terrible. But I tried it and it's awesome. Scooping is a breeze, the urine clumps don't weight anything. It masks the smell really well. I will definitely be using it in the future. For reference, I have two male cats, and two litter boxes.

I'm so disappointed in this litter. I've used Tidy Cats for years and always hated lugging the heavy litter around. However, this litter, while lightweight, is horrible! It is VERY dusty. There is literally a layer of dust on my furniture now and a cloud of dust erupt every time I scoop. The fragrance is too strong and is nauseating. On top of all of that, the litter gets tracked all over the house where previous litter did not. It even sticks to my cats' fur! I will. Not be buying this again!

This sample was really neat. I normally cannot lift the big, 35 pound crates that my boyfriend and I use to keep our house smelling clean, but this one I lifted one handed with no problems. We put this new litter in one of our three boxes and the cats (all three of them) took to it very quickly. They all use this litter box more than the others, and the difference in weight between this sample and the original is amazing. When this comes out into stores, we are definitely switching! So keep the price the same, or less. Overall, it clumped just as well as the original, but with half the weight. It seemed to let odors through faster (maybe by day 4 it started to smell as opposed to day 5 or 6 with the original), though I am sensitive to the odors, so I might not be a great judge.

We are new to the cat owners + kitty litter world. I grew up in rural NE Ohio where we had "barn cats" who spent most of the time outdoors, so I had no clue about the nuances / selection available in kitty litter in the civilized world. Enter Tidy Cats. They make a good product but making it lightweight is brilliant! I don't pull my back lifting the stuff into the cart, and its a quality product. The cat likes it fine, so we are good to go.

Although the lighter weight convinced me to try the product, I am NOT happy with its performance and will not buy it again. It tracks through the house more and does not clump quickly enough. Consequently, my cat steps in wet litter just trying to get out of the box. This causes gooey clumps of soiled litter to stick to her feet. Then she shakes her feet to get the goo off and sends bits of urine soaked goo flying everywhere. These stick wherever they land, all over the wall and curtains, and it takes hours of time and effort to clean up the mess! I never had these problems with the traditional Tidy Cats clumping litter. For me, the lighter weight litter makes my life harder, not easier so it is not worth it.
