I have never written a review, but I just HAD to take the time to review this. Although it is initially more expensive, I LOVE this litter because there is very little waste. I have found that, in the long run, it is just as economical as all the heavier clumping litters I have used over the years.....with the added bonus of being light-weight. Unlike other reviews that complain of the litter "crumbling", I find it quite the opposite....There is almost NO CRUMBLING when I scoop out the box, and I can even "shake" the large clumps in the scoop to release the excess, loose, still-clean litter without the clump itself crumbling. Maybe the secret is in the way I use it. We have four cats that (by their own choice) mainly use 2 JUMBO litter boxes. So I use 1/2 - 2/3 box of litter (DEEP!) to initially fill each box…then I pretty much scoop only ONCE a day (for four cats), which means the clumps are well-formed and "isolated" from the clean litter. (The deeper the litter, the cleaner everything stays, because there is less "sticking" on the sides and bottom of the box.) Other than adding a little more litter every 1-2 weeks (to keep the level high), I basically just scoop once a day and it literally stays clean and odor-free FOR WEEKS!!! For me, the greatest benefit of this litter is the fact that, unlike other litters, there is NO urine seepage into surrounding litter....everything that urine comes in contact with is "clumped" so the remaining litter STAYS clean and essentially odor-free for weeks. Our extra litter box (that only one cat uses - in addition to the main one) stays clean and smelling good for 3 months with just scooping (once every 2-4 days) and adding a small amount of litter every month!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I would never buy regular cat litter again. I introduced my 85-year-old mom to the lightweight litter with her new kitty and she can't believe the difference. It makes it possible for her to be able to handle it without too much problem.

I tried the generic brands of the lightweight cat litter and it ended up giving my cat a UTI! She stated that the generics are way too dusty and not very good for male cats. We went with this brand and (thought somewhat a bit dusty as most cat litters are), this is one of the better ones. I saw this at Winco and they had a good price for it. When I found this this at Walmart for the same price, I'm glad Walmart has it so now I can go there for it.

I bought this with it being lightweight and my family has used Tidy Cats for years. I was disappointed when I bought this and find that litter is EVERYWHERE in my house. I have to sweep everyday to get rid of it. The current one I bought is having the urine stick to the sides and bottom of my box. I actually broke one of my shifters trying to clean it off. At first I really liked it, but now I will be going to a different brand so I dont have to strain to pick up the litter and not have it tracked all over my home.

This one is lightweight so I can carry in a few boxes at a time and not break my back. My cats seem to really like it and I love it so it’s always my go to if that is an option that’s myfirst pick

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Tidy Cat lightweight multicat litter not only works great but my cats love it! I clean their boxes daily, refreshing it daily with some new litter. Keeping a consistent level of litter makes scooping easier and also maintains a fresher smell. It is so much easier to handle. I am 79 years young and the lightweight is easier to carry into, and out of the house. My back thanks you.

I hate the new design of the box. They have made it so inconvenient to pour the liter into the box. Especially when you buy a box that big it's clumsy. Bring back the old design of the box where the box was perforated at the top and there was no mess or waste. You have also changed the liter it is like it's more dense not light colored and weightless.

I have bought the 50# bag of tidy cats brand cat litter for many years at my Sam's club. The 50# bag filled my boxes 4 times and cost just under $10. (so that is $2.50 per fill). You have stopped stocking the 50# bag and now stock the new "light" litter (19# = 42# of the old) and this costs just under $20. Unfortunately, I still need to fill the litter boxes to the same level and the new lighter litter fills the boxes 3 times ($6.66 per fill). This is a 266% cost increase! Please stock the 50# bags of the old litter!

The new style of box is very clumsy and takes more time.
