[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was hoping to go through all 12 weeks of product use before submitting my final review, however, the bzz campaign will be over by then. I have 3 more treatments to complete. I was selected to receive this product free of charge in exchange for an honest review. I am THRILLED with the results. I have seen a 90% reduction in hair growth so far. My legs are so smooth even 5-7 days after shaving/lasering. My arm pits I am seeing about an 80% reduction. I am also 1 treatment behind, so that could be the reason. Oh to NOT have to shave! Especially with summer right around the corner! I would gladly spend 30 minutes a week doing laser hair removal to not have to shave ALL WEEK LONG! And, I bet this goes even longer. I could probably get away with 3 weeks no shaving, but can't test that theory while I am still doing my 12 treatments. I have had more people touch my legs during the past 9 weeks than I have since I've been married! I am in such awe that I keep telling everyone to feel how smooth my legs are. Several friends have wanted to borrow it when I'm done, but NO WAY! They are more than welcome to come to my house to use it, but no way am I letting this out of my sight. It is too valuable. I still don't like the things I listed in my previous review. The glide feature takes a long time to reset. It doesn't work on the front of the leg on the bone. It's not a deal breaker since all I have to do it hold the device vertical and treat it that way. I don't even want to talk about the few things I dislike about the product because I LOVE not having hairy legs, razor-burned legs, stubbly legs! I love not having to place my foot on the shower wall, lather my leg with cream, shave, then switch. Do you know how dangerous that is?! Especially after I switch legs, the shower is slippery. So, not only did this reduce hair, it quite possibly saved me from taking a nasty fall in the shower. :) I originally rated this with 4 stars, but the pros completely outweigh the cons and this gets a 5 star rating from me!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My legs have never been so smooth. Easy to use,light weight,safer then shaving. My legs were smooth in less than 4 weeks. I haven't even had to use as much lotion on them as I did with razor shaving. No stubble,no hair AT ALL!! I will never use a razor again nor will I use any other system. I have found the easiest and best way to remove hair,who would have thought the best product would also be the eadiest?!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this product free from Braun in exchange for my honest opinion. Well, to be completely honest, I wasn't sure I'd like this at all. I have super dark, coarse hair and previous attempts at hair removal that didn't involve razors or wax have been pretty futile or downright painful. But of course I gave this a try because its shiny and looks cool so why not? Upon opening the box, I was surprised to see that there was no assembly necessary which was nice. They included a Gillette Venus razor - my personal choice in razors anyway so this made me happy. The included instructions were very easy to follow and has diagrams to help. You need to make sure the areas you're treating are shaved prior to treatment and let me be perfectly clear here - THIS IS IMPORTANT!! I apparently missed a few hairs and not only does it smell bad but you can actually feel the hair burn. Its wasnt too bad as it was only a few but I would think it wouldn't feel good if you just didn't shave at all. Well I did my lower legs and my underarms consistently through this trial and it went well but I really didn't notice the difference until the fourth week. Looking back I probably should have taken before and after photos because it was a subtle change. Given my thick hiar this isn't a surprise but the fact that this is workimg and my hair is getting more sparse is amazing. I will continue to use it and see what happens. There are only 2 issues I have with the device. Number one is that being so large it would have been nice to have some sort of storage included or even just a cap to protect the light source which is actually open. I keep mine in the box which is really too big to use as storage but I feel like I have no choice. My second issue is that it can't be used on the face. I would have liked to be able to use it under my chin where I have some strays. All in all I like this product and I feel very lucky to have been included as a tester.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I wasn't quite sure what this product does or how to use it but the fact that it could be used to remove hair was enough of a selling point for me to sign up for this campaign. When it came, I felt like I had hit the lotto. I was a little disappointed after reading the instructions that it said you couldn't use on your face. I was hoping to get rid of some peach fuzz. When I took the product out, I had no idea what to do with it. I'm a person who normally doesn't read the instructions, but for this product I read the instructions about 5x and was still not exactly sure what to do with this time. It turned on easily enough. I decided to test it on my legs. The instructions suggested testing a small patch. I pushed the gentle button, which looks like a feather not knowing if I was going to be burned or having hair pulled out or what I should expect. I didn't really feel much. After a few tests, I decided to keep going. I believe I got the hang of it and did the bottom of my two legs. I can't speak to any kinds of results and I'm not sure how this will work but I will continue trying this out.

The packaging is nice and intriguing enough that if I saw it on a store shelf, I would be interested enough to pick it up. The premise of the product is that with weekly use, hair growth will be permanently reduced and/or not return at all. I used the wand for the first time last night on my legs and while I was expecting it to hurt more than it did, it still felt like being snapped with a rubber band each time. Not too painful, but enough that it made me feel like it was working! It did take a long time to do both legs, and I'm not sure that I covered every inch, but with regular use, I'm sure all areas would be covered. I guess I will see in a few weeks if the hair is growing back more slowly, less coarse, or at all. Any of the above would be a great result!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was a little worried trying this product as I eagerly would love to eliminate the need to shave but was concerned that this might be too uncomfortable or painful. Boy was I wrong!! The Gillette Venus Silk-expert was SOO easy to use and very pain free! I have fair skin and can get a tan when exposed to the sun, my hair however is very dark. The ease of use for this product was amazing, simply plug and play and you are ready to start zapping hair growth away. Caution- you do have to make sure that you have removed all of the hair in the treatment area first otherwise you get to smell the not so pleasant smell of singed hairs. Due to the summer time and our multiple beach visits, I was able to complete 4 weekly treatments and I can already tell the outstanding results! I usually have to shave my legs every 2 days to get rid of those unsightly hairs. After my first treatment I noticed that i went almost 4 days with minimal hair growth. After more treatments the timing grew before I had to shave again. The picture I attached are of my legs not having been shaved for an entire week and half and I can barely see any hair growth! This product is a must have for anyone looking to eliminate the need for shaving in a convenient pain free way. The only downside is that it is not instant and will take some time to see permanent results but lucky for me the results were noticeable in a very short amount of time. Braun did provide me this item complimentary as a review, but given the success, I would definitely invest in purchasing one for myself or friend in the future.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So I have done 7 treatments. Each one takes about 15 minutes. I am treating my lower legs, lower arms and underarms. This is not painful- and is really just a small investment in my week. This week I didn't shave- or haven't shav d in 6 days- I took a picture of my right lower leg to show results. Honestly it is pretty astounding! In the picture you will see a stray hair every now and then. If I were to guess- I'd have to say my hair production has decreased by 80-90%!!!! And I'm not through the 12 week test phase! So Yes! I will continue and finish out the 12 week window. And Yes! This will be a new beauty routine to keep up with the amazing results. And Yes! I will be telling others about this fabulous product.

I have been able to use it only a few times but I have to say that I am impressed so far. I appreciate that has a non-stop power source. I have used a hair removal device in the past that had to be charged, which I found to be inconvenient. With the Gillette® Venus® Silk-expert powered by Braun, you simply plug the device into an outlet and begin using it immediately. It is not a lightweight device, but I find it fairly easy to handle and maneuver. I really like the glide feature which I feel is perfect to treat larger areas. I have experienced a small amount of discomfort during treatments, but not enough to dissuade me from continuing treatment. I've been able to complete only a few treatments so I can't give my opinion on the effectiveness yet but I'm optimistic!

I don't want a stranger up, close and personal in my business and touching my body. No, thank you! I especially don't want them to to be in any of my personal areas....I am just that type of person I guess. So this device for me is fabulous! It allows me to take care of hair removal on my own and not feel like I need to "bare all" to someone I have never met before. I will say though that I do feel like the size and shape could be improved. I have awkward areas that I would like to remove hair from. Toes, ankles, chin...you can't do that with a device like this as the great safety features protect you from it not going off on smaller areas. But hey- who/what doesn't have room for improvement? [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received my Venus Silk Expert for free from Braun. After several weeks of use,(I believe 8 weeks), I think more treatments are still necessary. I was a little intimidated when I read through the pamphlet enclosed in the box, so I stuck with the gentle setting, which could impact the results I'm sure. I don't consider the treatments to be painful, maybe just a tingling sensation. It appears I have areas on my legs that the treatments were effective on, as there's currently no longer any hairs that I can see.. I'm anxious to continue using the silk expert and attempt my bikini line, as well as my underarms, and maybe someday be "hair free"
