These tablets are wonderful and work exactly as described. Not recommended for children under six years old. Adults can safely take 1-3 tablets in a 24 hour timeframe. I can give these to my children if they ever have issues and I know that it will work and they will get relief overnight. It’s usually 6-12 hours however it can be slightly more or less depending on the actual person and their habits etc. you should not take this within an hour of any antacids or milk. Just take with a glass of water and wait! Not for use under 6 years old and if you don’t like the pills then I suggest miralax powder and mix in any drink that’s not carbonated. However, I do recommended taking more than one tablet if the situation is severe. I took 1 tablet each night 2 days in a row and ultimately had to resort to something stronger. I am elderly. This is the first time I have ever tried anything like this. The directions say three tablets can be taken in a single dose. I took one tablet at 4 PM and another at 8 PM because I've always found that I never need a 'full dose' of any medicine. I awoke at 2:30 AM needing to go to the bathroom. The tablets worked but I immediately felt absolutely sick, my entire body sweating profusely, feeling like I had a very bad case of the flu. This lasted approx one-half hr to 45 min and all that time I actually thought I was going to faint. I will never buy this product again. I think I just needed a stool softner.

this product says "comfortable overnight relief." This was NOT my experience. Five hours of cramps and stomach pain so intense, it caused vomiting, shaking, chills, sweating, and crying. On a scale of one to ten, I would rate the pain a strong ten (I have a high pain tolerance, too). Please do not take this review lightly. If you experience anything like I did, you will regret your decision immediately, and spend hours upon hours on the toilet in complete agony. I have taken many OTC laxatives before and thought I would give this one a try. Never in my life have I had an experience like this.
