Not sure this stuff works. Started taking the Gell Cap version of the Stool Softener 36 hour before hernia surgery since anesthesia is reported to cause constipation. My first 3 bowel movements seemed awful rough. I will never know if it could have been worse I guess, but no stool even close to what anyone would call soft. I would try a different product next time.

I have not found the ingredients to be an issue with anything else I may eat or drink, nor have I felt any negative side effects from taking this. I think that Dulcolax is an excellent product to have in your medicine cabinet for whenever the need for a laxative arises; pretty much invaluable. I would absolutely recommend this product!
