I have 2 older model Rokus at home and I am traveling and bought this one. It is just as good as the Roku Premiere I bought less than a year ago. Easy to pack up and carry in my techie bag. I was also pleased that with this remote, you can set it to turn the tv off and on that was not available on older versions.

Replaced my 1st generation stick . . . now faster, with other highlights that control the tv (power, sound . . . altho with separate sound system it doesn't work) etc, it is well worth it. Altho, had to go thru everything to re-install my streaming channels which was bit of a pain . . . was hoping it would recognize me by way of my email address and pw.

This is our third Roku for our home. We have been so happy with the performance that we decided to try this one more in a room with very poor WiFi signal. It works great and we are so very pleased with the picture, speed and audio. I highly recommend this unit for streaming, especially in low signal areas!

This new Roku Streaming Stock + is just perfect. Interface is abit dated, however once you dial it in this thing is super smooth. I used to have Gen 2 Apple TV. Constant issues with Netflix, caching, slow video, constant whirling circles waiting for this to load or catch up. All those issues are now gone. I also have access to more entertainment.

Set up was fast and easy and picture quality is exceptional. I have had an Apple TV, Roku 2 and 3, and Amazon Fire Stick. The Roku Stick + is the best one so far. The stick is faster and easy to add channels, and overall more enjoyable to operate. I would buy again.

I bought this Roku to replaced and older Roku (3+ years old) which was not streaming well, had to be rebooted often, etc. The difference is amazing. The new one is in the same location as the old one but performs 200% better. no more pixelated movies, no more having to reboot it. I bought this model because Roku claimed it had the best Wi-Fi performance and the Wi-Fi performance is awesome. I have not used any of the other features like voice control so I cannot comment on those. Compared to my old one, they also fix a lot of the issues with the remote control. Definitely deserves five stars.

Not a family friendly device. No parental controls. A pin is not sufficient. It only requires the pin to be entered when adding a new channel. Not when selecting an individual movie or show. I do not want my children seeing ALL title images. Really wish there was a way to block certain ads/promotions and ratings. Very disappointing. Wish the creators would have put more effort or consideration into the design for parental controls.

I just use my Roku + to watch all of my channels. No more signing in every time or using different devices to watch various accounts. Now I just use my Roku to watch Netflix, Hulu, HBO GO, Showtime Anytime, Starz, Epix and now the Roku channel. No more searching for each episode on demand! It was easy to install and works great even from far away. The remote is awesome since it can use voice commands and it can go thru walls at long distances! I love it, so glad I bought it.

I just bought this a couple of days ago. I have a Roku 3 and had no problem installing it. The streaming stick doesn't connect with my internet. I did go through the setup with my hotspot on my phone but the minute I changed it to my wireless internet, I got red checks. I gave up and am using the Roku 3.

I chose this Roku to replace my broken Roku 3. I am impressed. This Roku stick is superior in every way. Much smaller. Faster. More stable. More up to date software. Improved Wi-Fi. Powered by the TV, so no need to plug it into the wall. The Roku remote is equipped with a infrared led to control the TV volume and power, so I no longer need the TV remote. I love this thing. My only complaint is that the Roku connects to its remote via its own secondary Wi-Fi channel. It is a very strong and stable connection, allowing you to use the remote from almost anywhere in the house without any need to point at the TV, BUT this secondary Wi-Fi channel can cause some small amount of Wi-Fi interference, potentially reducing quality of Wi-Fi connection for other devices in the house. I admit that it has not been a problem for me yet but I prefer to minimize the number of potentially overlapping Wi-Fi signals in my house.
