The new TV volume & on/off controls on the remote help me to use just one remote for my TV watching. This improves my cutting the cable experience. Future Remote Improvements: Please add a source button so I can switch from DVD watching back to Roku. Also provide light up buttons for easy use in darkness. Make the remote backward compatible with older Roku devices and sell it separately to enhance the use of those devices. Stick/Box improvement: Turn off Roku with TV on/off so it does not continue to play Netflix shows when the TV is off.

Since cutting the cable cord a few years ago, we have been receiving our TV signals from either a local antenna or from the Internet using Roku. This is our fourth Roku and each new Roku has been an improvement over the previous model. The Roku Streaming Stick+ is faster and has more features than our older ones. We especially like the TV power button and the volume control that the new remote has. This has enabled us to put the TV's remote away and use only the Roku remote. The speed at which the Roku Streaming Stick+ navigate from one program source to another is improved as well. While it still is not as fast as changing local channels or even cable channels, it is getting better. Also the Roku provides a good viewing experience with almost no buffering or waiting for a program to slowly load.

Opened the box and there sits a MINI USB rather than a MICRO USB. Short cord with an extender and it is called "portable". Warning in the box, "don't forget..." when you travel. Why go backwards to an older technology. Now any of my Micro or USB-C cables are useless with this.

Purchase this stick 2 months ago. The stick does what it's supposed to do, stream media from various providers, but then again so do others. What is a deal breaker for me, and this is huge. It's an always on device. So if you fall asleep with it on, (which I often do) it will stay on. For example both on my TV and monitor it has auto detect, so if it detects no content on, the TV automatically turns off. Most TVs and monitors have this. However since this is an ALWAYS ON device, my TV or monitor doesn't turn off. I've woken up the next morning realizing my TV was running all night. That's a lot of electricity wasted not to mention it shortens the life of the TV. In case you're wondering what I mean by ALWAYS ON device, even if your turn off auto-play on Netflix or Prime (which I did), the Roku stick doesn't turn off after the episode is over, it just goes to some weird screen saver mode, thus the TV believes it's content and stays on. There is no auto-off feature! Also, in 2 months, I've gone through 4 sets of batteries, and I hardly use this device. Seems the controller is constantly doing some thing. I change the batteries, use it once or twice, the remote just sits there not being used, but yet 2 weeks later, the batteries are dead. BTW the batteries on my TV last me almost a year. Bottom line, I've only used this a handful of times because of reasons stated above, I wish I could return it.

Yes am happy about it. Roko has helped me to watch so many games l Have been searching for it.

Opens up a whole new world of viewing experience. Love it !

I love my ROKU! I just upgraded From Roku 1 to the stick+ and also have a Roku 3. Love them all!
