I bought this thinking it was just the stick and no unsightly cords. So disappoited there. I had the first version of roku so all my programs were already loaded but still had to go through the process of inputtig passwords and registering through the computer all over again. This took actually almost an hour and a half total to install annd load everything. The performance is greatly improved though over the original i had as it was refusign to play certain programs i had watched all along adn was much faster annd so far no freeze ups like the old one.

I just bought this a day ago. Hook up was easy my only complaint is that it is too long, I doesn't fit into my HDMI ports at the back of my tv, would be helpful if it had a swivel connection at the HDMI plug so it can be angled out a bit to clear the TV cabinet. I have it plugged into the side port for now. Not ideal as I'd like to keep that port open for easy temporary connection of other devices.

Purchased and installed three days ago. Installation of physical components was simple, but I expected a MUCH smoother transition from my previous Roku content-wise. All of the previously installed home screen channels were retained but not in the same order so I had to go through the tedious process of moving them around to my liking. I also have to "activate" channels all over again, which means jotting down codes and going into the computer room down the hall to enter them. Worse, the YouTube channel has required activation three times already - i.e., every day I've tried to watch it . My older Roku(s) never did this. Can't find a solution on the Roku forum. The good thing is that, once activated, YouTube does not kick me back to the home screen in the middle of watching videos as my previous Roku did. Some of the Roku forum entries blame the repeated activation problem on the TV service provider but that is bogus. I know because I use an antenna and don't HAVE a TV service provider (only an internet provider). The new Roku navigates faster than my older model, which is an improvement, but if the product continues to require that I activate YouTube every day it's going to be a deal breaker and I will return it. (Other forum users report having the same issue with Netflix and other channels that I haven't had a chance to use yet, so the problem is probably not confined to YouTube...)

I bought the Roku stick premier couple of days ago so far it's great, I've had The Roku 3 for about 3years and it's never giving me any major problems, my only problem is I wish that you would be able to enter number for channels rather than just scrolling down through every single channel on the list other than that it's great .

I bought this product to eliminate my cable company's box rental, a savings of over $150.00 a year. This is great. Still, it takes about 30 seconds to get to the home screen. There is the Roku label and an annoying beep while I am waiting. Otherwise, it is great.

This device only works occasionally. I have an identical model roku device that works fine in all locations in my house, so I know the device is defective. I have sent several emails and tried to chat with customer support. I have tried all of their troubleshooting (again in most cases). Some support personnel have been helpful...some have just left the chat without saying anything leaving me to wait in line for another 30-45 minutes. There are many other streaming devices out there. If you want to avoid headaches, shop somewhere else.

Love it in almost every way. Only problem is that when I turn the tv off, with either remote (the roku or the tv remote) it keeps coming back on. I bought 2 rokus for 2 tv's but only having a problm with the one tv. Not once has it ever turned off without coming back on. It's a real pain. Sometimes we can get it to go off by using both remotes a few times and other times, especially when in a hurry to leave the house, we simply have to unplug. Strangest thing.

I was quite disappointed to discover that my Roku + would not accommodate the new YouTube TV service. Both Roku and YouTube failed to properly inform me that they were not compatible before I wasted my time signing up for a free trial. Why on Earth wouldn't you have this info right up front. My Roku seems quite useless now - a total waste of my $75 - never again!

Have two other Roku streamers but needed something for 4K. I had been using AT&T DSL and am switching to a much faster xfinity internet but this streaming stick works so much better on the slow internet than my old one it's not funny! I wish I had purchased this earlier! I love the fact that it can be powered from the USB port on the back of the tv with no wires!

I would suggest to change the title that's says “aSo, what do you think?” Otherwise great device but bummed it doesn't have puppy protection. You think with the bells and whistles there would be bitter plastic and rubber, a shake sensor with a piezo alarm. Them things aren't cheap.
