Not a family friendly device. No parental controls. A pin is not sufficient. It only requires the pin to be entered when adding a new channel. Not when selecting an individual movie or show. I do not want my children seeing ALL title images. Really wish there was a way to block certain ads/promotions and ratings. Very disappointing. Wish the creators would have put more effort or consideration into the design for parental controls.

Smaller isn't always better, but in this case it is. It replaced a 5+ year old Roku. All the apps look different and act differently. Took some readjusting, but I like the new look. All the apps I had on my old Roku transferred to the new one without me having to add them back. An added bonus is I can now get HBO Now. Couldn't get that to work on the old one.

i bought this to update an older Roku express that has become very sluggish in the last year. the streaming stick is great. it works great with my harmony hub, is very responsive, and loads videos quickly. the video quality is also fantastic. i was surprised to see that it did not work with my 2012 Sony Bravia tv's USB port due to insufficient power, so check on that if that is a requirement for you. Having said that, it did work with a 2009 Samsung and would have worked well had i plugged into the wall with the included plug.

Got rid of satellite last year after purchasing the Roku 4, and have loved that so much, that I replaced the TV in bedroom with a Roku model. I still had the TV in my kitchen that was useless, so after Roku sent the email about the new products coming out, I knew I had to try the stick. Installation was simple, except for finding the passwords to my already existing accounts. Other than that....it is functioning perfectly and I was a bit concerned that I might have to relocate the TV to get a good signal, but nope...perfect! Would recommend this stick for anyone and I plan on buying one more for the TV in my den.

I bought this to replace my old Roku that was slowing down and not letting me access certain shows on Amazon. This is the newest of my 3 Roku's and I just love them. Some people leave negative reviews because they thought they were buying an Android box to stream restricted shows. Please don't listen to those people as they're ignorant as to what The Roku can do. I endorse this product without reservation.

I just received this Roku Streaming Stick+ (2017) and set it up yesterday. It was easy and quick, replacing the 2nd of 3 older 2011 Roku XDs. So, I was amazed that the Roku Premiere, purchased months ago had extra space and memory. Yet this Roku Streaming Stick+ is better, faster and updated all my Premiere apps (Netflix, Amazon Prime, etc.) instantly. I plan to buy another Roku in the future to replace the 3rd older Roku.

I've been using my Roku for a few weeks now and I'm so happy with it. It has so much to it that I haven't even explored all of it. I didn't want to have that monthly cable bill and with my Roku having so many free thing to watch, the only thing I have to pay for is the cost of the internet. After paying the initial cost of the Roku you don't have to pay for anything else unless you want to. There are so many free channels and movies. Buying the Roku was one of the best things I've ever bought..

I have used every streaming player on the market and RoKu Won! The user interface is very intuitive! I cut out the cost of multiple cable boxes and replaced with RoKu (6 and counting). It is a great product that could be made even better if it had a HD Antenna and access to over the air HD via main screen. Not a 75ohm connection but something small with a thin long range antenna. The remote is pretty unbeatable too but it could be even better if you could double click the down volume button for TV mute.

I finally replaced my old streaming stick that was so slow to load apps and change channels within my slingtv app with the new streaming stick+, and I am surprised at the speed it loads apps and changes channels. I love the new features that controls the TV power and volume, so convenient; one less remote to deal with!

After 2 days remote would not pair with the stick. Tech support was no help. I had already tried everything they suggested from YouTube video suggestions. Now I have to wait 10days or so for them to send me an additional cord. Very frustrated and disappointed.
