I've had Roku for 6 months and decided I finally needed a second device on another TV in the house. The stick was incredibly easy to install and start using within about 25 minutes I could view everything on my account on either TV. The voice feature on the remote doesn't require specialized words....just say what you want and you'll almost always get what you want.

TV companies have "Smart features" on their TVs. They suck. They're slow, they have problems. The Roku streaming stick + is just so easy all over. All you do is plug it into your tv, plug the power cable into your tv USB port, and it will recognize what tv it's plugged into, and you can control the volume and turn the tv on and off. You don't need to point the remote any particular direction, it works all over unless you have dark matte walls (the signal reflects off of lighter walls). You have a voice search function where you can search across several paid and free apps for movies and tv series. The interface is awesome, really fast, it's like luxury. I actually own 4 rokus, 1 Express, 1 Express +, 1 TCL Roku tv, and the Roku streaming Stick +. I actually bought the Roku streaming stick + for a 65" 4K Samsung Smart tv. The smart function completely sucks. I've owned 3 Samsung Smart tvs, and I never really liked the system. end result - Roku is going to make you happy!

I just received this Roku Streaming Stick+ (2017) and set it up yesterday. It was easy and quick, replacing the 2nd of 3 older 2011 Roku XDs. So, I was amazed that the Roku Premiere, purchased months ago had extra space and memory. Yet this Roku Streaming Stick+ is better, faster and updated all my Premiere apps (Netflix, Amazon Prime, etc.) instantly. I plan to buy another Roku in the future to replace the 3rd older Roku.

I have the ROKU Streaming+ stick about a week. I am very satisfied with it. My one concern is that the stick did not fit where the HDMI connector is. Too long for the indentation is so that cables install flat. ROKU will send out a cable to fix problem. Took only two days. On my Samsung, it you install the cable the stick sticks out the side of the TV by about an inch. The cable needs to be bent down. It is a very stiff cable and did bend easily, wanted to return to straight, so I had to work with it to stay down. My concern is that the cable, being as short as it is, may develop problems after a while being bent as much as it is. My thought is that the cable should be a bit longer and have more flexibility.

I really like the feel of the buttons and the layout of the remote on my new Roku. The fact that it control the power and volume of your tv too is nice. I also downloaded the app on my phone and I really like the private listening feature (sound comes through your phone). I've had an older style Roku for 6 years and I am very happy with the product. Tons of channels/apps to choose from. Way more than my blue ray player and fire stick.

It is interesting how some small features can be very useful, the thing that I really love about this Roku: 1. Its control also controls TV's volume and power off/on. So, you do not need the TV control most of the time. 2. Its control uses Bluetooth (or WiFi) instead of infrared, so you do not need to point the control when using the control. 3. The control is very responsive, for instance to control the video playback, or apps. 4. The apps open faster than my previous Roku. 4. It supports 4K effectively. I use Plex often, and even for videos that are 480p or 720p, it enlarges them to 4k, and their picture looks better than my previous Roku's 1080p. 5. It does not need a HDMI cable and nicely gets concealed in the back of TV. I have a Sceptre TV that is clearly not great brand, but it still works fine with its HDMI ports and using USB port is enough to power it. I have not used the search capability, and I doubt I would, but that might get useful for some people as well.

I had the original Roku I bought years ago and didn't see any reason to upgrade. Everything was working as advertised. But then my daughter made me upgrade to the Roku Streaming Stick and everything changed. My Eyes are Wide Open now. All the new features and it's easy to use. No more dropped connections, volume control on the Roku remote, streaming channels can add new features, it's feels like night and day. The Best decision I have made, now I watch Roku Streaming 90% of the time, it helps that Charter Spectrum DVR sucks.

I had the original models but it was limited. This version included a TV on/off button, and volume buttons, meaning I can put the TV remote out of site. It uses our our network instead of infrared so you don't even need to point the remote at the TV. Ths biggest problems are limitation within various apps, not with the ROKU.

I bought the Roku Streaming Stick+ because I needed to be able to watch Vudu, Amazon, and Netflix in 4K HDR, and I wanted better controls for PSVue, and it was the only product that did all of this without needing a big box and separate power supply. (My Sony TV has an amazing picture, but the worst android interface possible - its basically unusable due to lag - and none of the native apps do 4k). The Roku is easy to navigate, although sometimes it does lag a bit, but most importantly the streaming picture quality is excellent and all my services are easy to access. Easy enough that my wife can use it after showing her how just once (this is a big deal after trying to teach her how to use the PS4 for over a year). So far, very happy with the purchase.

The Hardware is OK, the "FREE" Content isn't. Commercials are understandable on "Free" content. However interrupting the movie/program multiple times is BS. If you have to run a commercial run them at the beginning or end. The ROKU channel is pretty much useless with policies such as this.
