Nice when it works. After about 5 months the clean light comes on after every 2-3 pots. And if you don’t clean it the timer is completely useless. It’s getting to the point where I’ve poured as much vinegar through it as coffee. Don’t waste your $$ unless you can afford a new every few months. Expected much more from ninja. Will never recommend or buy their products again!!

I purchased this model Ninja Coffee Bar (CF090A) in November 2016. Everyone was pleased with it. Loved the hot coffee, iced coffee, all the features, everything about it. About 1 month after I got it the cleaning light came on. No problem; I cleaned it. Two weeks later the cleaning light came on again. Now mind you, I use nothing but reverse osmosis water. Nothing from the tap. I ignored the cleaning light until it was time for me to clean it again. The light wouldn't shut off. It worked for a long time and I cleaned it on a regular basis. Then suddenly, it quit working. A quarter cup of coffee would come out and then stop. I cleaned it, but it would only drip a little out and quit. How grateful I am I purchased the warranty from SquareTrade! I went to their site and submitted a ticket. The next day I received an answer that they would get back to me promptly. About two hours later they asked me to sign a paper saying it was not working, etc. and they would refund the money. I will buy a new one! They said that I should have it within five days. Talk about wonderful service. It pays to purchase the extra warranty! I just wish I would have done that with my daughters! Some people think that if a piece of equipment breaks they will never buy another of that kind. Well, in this case I will have another Ninja because it is an excellent machine. Obviously there is something wrong with certain models. I've had two Keurigs go out on me and I still purchased the last one. (Until the Ninja!) I even have a Cuisinart one-cup that I like. I've had this coffee maker for about a year now and it works great. It has many different settings and ways you can make coffee. You can make single cups or a whole pot with this coffee maker. I have found that it can be a bit difficult to clean. The filter where you put the ground coffee is also a bit difficult to clean. I had to actually throw mine out and use mini coffee filters from Walmart because my filter kept getting mold in it even after washing and drying it properly.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have wanted one for years and it does not disappoint. There is a learning curve that takes about a week to be comfortable. The learning curve on this machine is knowing the ounces of the cups you are using. The quick start guide is handy to have nearby while you are learning. Here is the good and bad. The bad: This is not an under counter unit as steam is released from the top. I pull mine out to use it. There is no way to fully remove the carafe cover to easily dry the carafe if you care about water spots. The beep telling you its done is false. You need to let it drip more or you will have water in your filter when you empty it. You will need to not only run a few primer cycles before using, but I recommend a vinegar cleaning cycle as well. (see instructions) I tasted just the water and it took many cycles to not have a new hose taste. I also used it for hot water for tea. Now for the good. There is nothing cheap about this. Well designed. The frothing unit pushes back and out of the way when not in use. Easy to remove and put back for cleaning. The measuring scoop has storage on the side of the unit and is flush so you won't see it. The drip stop really works well and has a warning beep if you try to make coffee with it still on. Using it as a habit took a couple days. The water tank is easy to lift and fill with a good grip and solid slide into place. Measurements on the side are easy to read if you only want to fill it for current use. Whoever designed this hated messes and cheap fitting equipment Making the coffee really is as easy as turning the knob, and selecting your brew. This is where knowing ounces of your kitchen cups is handy. I made every brew, (including delicious iced) and each one was as simple as turning a knob and selecting the brew. The fold down cup holder is silicone covered for no chance of accidents security. The recipe book is real life and not fancy and complicated. Every recipe is simple, and delicious. If you like adding sugar /sweetener add it to the froth so you don't ruin the beautiful layers. Yes, you can froth non dairy flavored creamer! So many more details, so little room. When you have wanted something for years, your expectations are high. This did not disappoint. Simply allow a week for learning curve because the options are many and you will want to use them all. Now you really can have coffee house coffee at home. Everything it claims it can do, it does without being a bother. It's a pleasure to use and produces great coffee.

Do not buy this machine. We had ours less than 2 weeks and had to run a clean cycle through it,just to keep it running. Then we had to run the clean cycle at least once a week, It takes over an hour to do so with vinegar,so your hole house stinks. Now the machine will not stay on long enough to complete a clean cycle. Its going in the trash, and I'm buying a less expensive machine that will actually brew a cup of coffee! Don't be fooled by the great reviews because its a sponsered product. Read some of the reviews on Amazon and the will back me up.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I just can’t say enough good things about this coffee maker with only a couple small negatives. Never have I gotten excited about a coffee maker until getting this. First of all, it is really sleek and good looking sitting on the countertop. Initially upon reading the instruction booklet I thought it might be a little complicated to use with maybe too many choices but after using for a short time and becoming familiar with it, it’s actually really easy. The amount of thought process that went into the design and imbedded programming of it’s functionality are way beyond any ordinary coffee pot. It makes FANTASTIC COFFEE regardless of a full pot, single cup, or even a small espresso. I would have liked it to include a permanent screen filter instead of having to use disposable cone filters. The only other negative is it seems to use a little more coffee than about same volume of our old coffee maker which was just the most basic fill with water and push the button type. Other than these 2 minor complaints, this coffee bar is unbeatable to anything we’ve ever had before including some very popular, well known name brand brewers of various styles. One of the features included is the frother. Nice but not a real important item to us initially but after using several times, it’s become one of the things we really like. It works best using a few tablespoons of milk instead of a few ounces just from trial and error. The pot itself is sleek and unusually nice to pour from. Something we would have never acknowledged before using this type of design. When this maker starts brewing, it just doesn’t mindlessly purge hot water through it until water used up, it starts to brew, then pauses allowing grinds to saturate and extract before continuing further. Even after it’s done brewing, the hotplate doesn’t just stay hot, it regulates its own temperature depending on brew type, length of time since brew and automatically adjusts itself so it doesn’t burn coffee or bitter it. Even the keep warm / auto off time can be changed to some different choices with a default of 2 hours. The stop drip lever that prevents drippage on hotplate is really nice. I was worried about this feature before we got it being concerned if it was accidentally left in that position when making a new pot it would be a huge mess. Don’t have to worry about forgetting that because there is actually a small beeping alarm to politely remind you. NICE, NICE, NICE!

I have drunk coffee for 48 years and finally found a machine that makes coffee like my mom and grandma used to make. The ninja bar is easy to use and having the frother is a nice touch, also being able to brew all the different sizes is a nice to have.

Don't be fooled by all the amazing features. after a week you will be plagued with the clean light bottom that constantly comes on. Than the machine will not even make a pot or cup of coffee, beep 5 times and shuts off. They are aware of the issue when you call their customer support they want to give you a new base at no cost to you just pay the $19.99 fed-ex shipping. No thank you, I'm not spending another cent on this junk, I'm bringing mine back to Sams Club and buying a single serve Bunn.
