I bought this two days ago. My wife had to have it, and wanted to put this on our 12 year old mattress. This was a innerspring pillow top in king size. It was 14” deep. I thought it would be better to get a new mattress. I wound up buying a Serra sleep to go from Sams. We both like the mattress, I will do a review on the mattress there. My wife felt like she was missing the pillow top feel, and a friend recommended a topper like this one. I did the research before buying the mattress, and we had decided on this one, so this decision had already been made. After using the new mattress, my wife still wanted this topper. I went and got this, on sale $30 off. I got it Home and was surprised it was 2 pieces, I must have missed it somewhere. Not a problem, just an fyi. The memory foam is just a bare slab of and off white memory foam at 3” thick and about the size of your bed. It’s about an inch larger all the way around the bed, sides and length. At least this was my experience and I had seen that in a couple reviews. The actual pad part is like a fitted sheet. This one felt awesome on the top, it will cover about 21” it looks like. So this should go over a 16 or 17” mattress. The pad has a small amount of foam and fiber fill. The truth in in the feeling for you. To lay on it, I definitely sunk down into this thing. More so when the pad isn’t used. Not a really bad thing, it actually felt good, this is wrapping you up like a marshmallow. It seemed to give support, while being really soft at the same time. I would think a back sleeper, side sleeper, stomach, or combo, like myself could do well with this. I am thinking this would probably work better for us on a firm, non pillow top innerspring mattress. Your mileage may vary. The bottom line, I returned it today. That’s the good news, I felt like this thing was very well made, and with a 10 year warranty, the quality is there. It just wasn’t for us. I could go either way, but happy wife, happy life. i did feel like it was too much on top of the memory foam mattress we just bought. The cons for us, it slept hotter than the mattress, it felt like my old mattress, which slept hot. It was just too much of a sinking feeling. Also the sheets are an issue. I had bout 2 $100 sheet sets recently, got the deep pocket ones, and they still were too small. The extra 4 inches was too much. The best thing is that sams gave a refund with no questions about it. We got to buy it, planning to keep it and have the ultimate bed and wound up returning it the next day. If your thinking your pains need a new bed, I would try this. The quality is very good.

First order the mattress was defective. A section in middle of mattress on egg crate side had sharp edges. It appeared foam melted then cooled resulting in sharp edges. Foam peeled apart too. Took myself and son in law to get it rolled up and back in box. Sam's arranged pickup. Replacement seems ok. Find it comfortable and cool so far.

Love it!!! Extremely comfortable and a perfect top for a firm mattress. The only reason for the 4 stars is the strong smell that can last for a few days. I should have left it on a ventilated area for at least 72 hours but instead, I put it on my bed the same day I received it.

I purchased this with hopes of making my firm mattress soft and I can say that this did the trick! I fell asleep immediately and was comfortable all night. It even stayed cool, which is nice when it comes to memory foam. I felt like I slept in a cloud all night and didn't hurt at all when I woke up. I wish I would have found this years ago! Thank you Serta for making me sleep better and not wake up in pain!

I bought this as my mattress had sunken and begun to hurt my back. It perfectly provides support, but if you run hot when you sleep, you may consider a different material -- the memory foam (even with the fabric topper) traps body heat. This is especially apparent when sharing the bed with another person.

This is great if you want a good memory foam soft sleep for a good price. I'm happy with this purchase. It's very soft. Comes with a cover you zip over the memory foam topper pad which is comfortable. I couldn't give it 5 stars because it will slowly move. If you get in and out of your bed a few times it will start to move off the mattress even with a good fitted sheet over it all. I overlook that though because I do enjoy the sleep I get with it on my bed.

We love soft. Also need support. We invested in a great matress almost 30 years ago. It is still great. We added a Feather top and mattress cover a few years ago. It was great for the first day or so, then flat. This answers that and also no real movement , makes it perfect.

Better than advertised, very comfortable pillow top.

This product is excellent, super comfy like sleeping on a cloud.

I purchased for extra comfort for bed
