It helps with fever, headache and body aches while also helping suppress cough and loosen chest congestion. The bi-layer tablet is rather unique, with one layer providing immediate relief and the other layer slowly releasing over 12 hours. I really like the 12-hour extended-release formula because it's convenient and means I don't have to keep taking medicine throughout the day. Overall, a convenient and effective multi-symptom cold medicine to keep on hand.

Mucinex 12 hr cold and fever multi symptom is that medicine for us. It comes in easy to swallow pills, it's also easy to toss a small square pack into my purse for easy on the go or travel. It says it works for 12hrs and I'm happy to report it does! However, I did notice it took nearly an hour to take affect which is why I left off a star.

It was unable to break up all the mucas I had.
