I'd recommend it if you need to stay functional during the day, but it's not for cough with phlegm only since the combo includes pain/fever reducers too. The box comes with 16 caplets, which is a good quantity/size for one bad cold, and I store it in a cool, dry place away from bathroom humidity so the pills don't get sticky.

The way this works is that is is an extended release tablet so the tablet will slowly release medicine throughout the day, allowing it to last 12 hours. What the medication does, it helps with fever, headache, body pain, cough, congestion, and thin and loosen mucus. Comes in normal box and each tablet is individually packaged so you can divide them up and take them wherever you need to go. I will say the tablet is a little big. It's about the size of a large Tylenol. So if you're someone who does need a pill cutter to swallow large pills, I do not think you'll be able to cut it because it is extended release tablet. Mucinex is actually a product I've used before especially as a flight attendant as my full-time job it has come to my rescue so now that they have a 12 hour multisymptom relief medication. It's definitely gonna be my next go to travel medicine.
