Bring back Frozen Boneless Skinless Chicken Thigh

New Package is terrible!!!!. The chicken juice gets everywhere!!!! You run the risk of cross contamination when trying open the package. They leak when you pull them apart. I run a food truck and go through a lot of chicken the package creates more plastic waste and creates a big mess then the typical meat package

Bad chicken choice!

This is the worst chicken I have ever purchased from a grocery store. The new packaging makes it impossible to see the meat inside, so you don't know if you have 2, 3, or 4 pieces in each pouch of the packaging. Plus, the size variations in each pouch are a joke, and the quality of the chicken is atrocious. The pieces are so mangled. Several times, I have taken a bite and ended up with several shards of bone in my mouth. The pieces sometimes look like the entire piece (including the bone), has been run through a shredder. Again, this is not a one-time event. I expected more from such a big corporation, and I'm sure I'm not the only one that feels this way. Since we purchased it on our meat stock-up week, we have so much left in our freezer now because we don't trust it enough to eat it.

A lot of gristle and fat

I used to buy boneless chicken thighs all the time. Not a fan of the new packaging. I assume Sam's changed suppliers. Since the package change there is a lot of gristle and fat on the thighs. Fat left on the thighs adds to more weight and a higher price per package.

Disappointing

We have bought nearly all of our meat from Sam's for over 15 years. We have been very happy with the quality and value. However, since the packaging (and I presume processor) changed several months ago, it has been terrible. The pieces are cut into odd pieces. They are riddled with fat, skin, tendons, bones, and clots. I hope Sam's rectifies this quickly or I will need to find my meat elsewhere.

Worst chicken ever

Go back to the Styrofoam packaging. I don't need any more added preservatives liquid in my meat. And maybe offer fresh cut meat from the butcher like the good old days for the price of being a club member. I will never buy chicken from Sam's again until the original packaging comes back or is improved. We are human beings, not livestock, in which you can put unhealthy products on your shelf for us to buy.

Thank you for contacting us! Your feedback is important. The first thing we’d like to share about the “feel” of the chicken is in large part due to the way our fresh chicken products are prepared for market. After initial processing, chicken meat is quickly cooled using a chilled water bath. A small amount of water is absorbed into the chicken during this process, which later settles out when it sits in the package. Rest assured, this is totally natural and retains the premium quality and wholesomeness of our fresh chicken. As for the packages themselves, we understand that the new “saddle” design is new for many Sam’s Club members, which can also change the experience they have with the chicken inside the package. One of the reasons behind the change was to shift away from foam trays that contain styrene, which has been determined “reasonably anticipated to be carcinogenic” by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. If you’re still not satisfied with your Member’s Mark fresh chicken product, we invite you to visit your favorite Sam’s Club location for a full refund, or to exchange your product as part of our Member’s Mark 100% Satisfaction Guarantee.
