I tenderize the steak by using a fork to punch holes throughout on both sides, then grill to medium rare on low heat, 3 minutes each side, then 3 more minutes each side for a total of 12 minutes. I either grill or use a cast iron skillet and cook with organic butter. The steak is always flavorful and tender. I then trim the fat, cut it into small pieces, grill that an additional 4 or 5 minutes and feed it to my dog.

Bought this last week......Not the worst NY strip I've ever had, but it was a pretty tough piece of meat. More akin to a round steak. Not saying all of them are as tough as the one I had, but I certainly would not mix the word tender with this meat. Will not buy again.

I purchased this before the reviews. How can you ever go wrong eating real meat...grass fed grass finished is what it is suppose to be, not the new methods. People are not use to eating good quality stuff. This meat cooked well and finished well, it even look different when cooking. I recommend to research how to cook meat and especially good quality meat doesn't really need any seasoning. I put salt on front back and sides and put it in a hot skillet with olive oil for 5 minutes and finished it in the oven. The taste is delicious. Thank you Sam's for providing quality food for me. I have lots of food sensitivities and now have to eat well with good clean ingredients, no added sugars, preservatives etc., and I feel so much better. I didn't know Sam's carried grass fed and organic meats until I put it in the search bar for organic and I found grass fed beef and organic chicken. I loaded up my cart and I am well pleased.

The flavor is great but these steaks were dripping with red dye. Selling organic meat and adding dye is really ridiculous isn't it? On top of that I maybe ate 30% of the meat and the rest was chewed and too grizzly to actually swallow. I paid a premium price for these steaks and they are a major disappointment.

Great steaks for a good price Tender meat I love it I will continue to buy it ,pricing and quality match so well I would recommend it to any one just looking at the price of beef lately its awful so expensive ground beef 93/7 at $8 a pound are you kidding me

I've bought these a couple times and had the same experience every time. While they taste good and they are reasonably tender, they are just full of gristle. Out of the two we ate today, one had a 3/4 inch strip the whole length of the steak. I won't buy them again. Stick to Sam's Prime beef, you will never be disappointed.
