I had the Tempurpedic Classic Symphony for 12 years and it was the best!! But it began to sag so I used my pro-rated warranty claim for a new mattress and foundation. The Symphony had been discontinued so I was given the medium adapt which is completely different. I have had it for around four weeks and have been in such pain upon waking, in my back, legs, and neck. It is also much higher. I had to buy anothe brand Mattress Topper, which has really helped and really the only way I've been able to keep it. It is comfortable now with it. It's not fair that you not only lose the 90 day trial, but are also stuck with the purchase when you use your warranty. I wish they hadn't discontinued the Symphony as it was firm but plush and comfy. All of the representatives were all very helpful and friendly though, and the claim process was great, other than the fact that I am not happy with the mattress.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've wanted a genuine Tempurpedic mattress since first sitting on one at the mall 20 years ago. I finally pulled the trigger last fall and I'm soo glad I did. The mattress is everything I expected; soft but supportive, good quality, and has that signature feel of the memory foam. Don't be fooled by imitation "memory foam" when you feel the real thing you won't go back. I also got the adjustable frame and love the zero-G setting and massage. I'm very picky with mattresses because they are a signifigant investment and you don't want to live with a mistake. I've mostly owned Sterns and Foster latex mattresses in the past but after my Tempurpedic experience I am a customer for life.

I had a split cal king tempurpedic bed for 16 years prior to this medium hybrid bed. This one is definately taking more time to break in. I have only had it for 3 weeks so it is an adjustment and taking my body some time to get used to the new firmness.

We've had a king-sized Tempurpedic bed for over 20 years and LOVED IT! That mattress changed our lives; no more hip aches, backaches or 3 a.m. tinkle fairy calls. When we decided to get a new bed, we went right back to Tempurpedic. Owning one of these beds is a huge investment and we're thinking this will be the last bed we'll have, at this point in our lives. Getting older and dealing with digestion issues and sinus issues, we went with a new Tempurpedic Adustable Bed with two twin XL beds so we can each adjust our own side. Having been used to a very hard, stable bed, we went to the Medium, at the suggestion of our salesperson. We thought we were coming down one level, to a less hard mattress with a little give) and these new beds are quite a bit softer than what we are used to. I've already returned my mattress once. We LOVE the adjustable part! No more digestive issues at all! I just wish the mattress wasn't so soft. It takes some getting used to, I guess. We also got $300 worth of Tempurpedic products free - unfortunately, the sheets that we got do not stay on the mattresses well, they lift off the edges and bunch underneath you; and the two mattress covers were like sleeping on diapers (the noise and sounds were very disruptive to our sleep; so I've replaced both mattress pads and the two sheet sets that we got for "free". But no complaints with my new pillows!! I do want to say to anyone thinking of purchasing a mattress - lay on them for a long period of time; purchasing a mattress is a huge commitment, financial and health wise and should not be made in a few minutes sitting on a bunch of mattresses. Tell your salesperson what you like and do not like about your current mattress. I wish that the store's return policy was more accommodating; apparently you can only return once - even though you have two mattresses (yes, you get 30 days to return but when you've waited three weeks for your mattress and in four days' time, realize you hate it), of course you want to return immediately for a replacement which, unfortunately took another three weeks to arrive. One really great thing about the new, improved Tempurpedic mattresses vs. my old one; they're much cooler; breath better, I'm sure due to better materials.

This is my first memory foam mattress. It's ok, I seem to be waking up with a sore lower back which I didn't with my pillow top. Maybe it just needs some breaking in? I do love the adjustable base... makes it so much more comfortable when reading or watching tv in bed.

This bed is a miracle bed. Before, I could only sleep on my right side. Now, I can sleep pain free on my back, either side, or stomach. No back pain or leg pain. What a difference!! I couldn't be happier! The only down side is the mattress cover that I have to put on to protect the bed makes it slippery and it is hard getting into the bed. I sit on the side and almost slide off. Other than that, it rates 10 stars out of 5 for me!!

We bought this mattress 30 days ago. It is the most uncomfortable mattress we have ever owned. We are tossing and turning all night long. This mattress causes extreme back pain and numbness in the arms for side sleepers. We have tried kneeling and walking on mattress to loosen up, but nothing works. I am now sleeping on the couch. We called 2 days ago to return and we are still waiting to hear back from a representative from Tempur-Pedic. So far, not an easy return process as suggested by salesperson in flagship store.

I think everyone expects Tempur-pedic to be a great experience and the quality to be superior to other brands, and we willingly pay a slightly higher price for that. But what we get from that exchange is an amazing night's sleep every night. There is no price one can put on that. No more aches and pains in my back, no more neck problems, and I actually sleep through the night now, having never moved or turned from where I fell asleep. I used the mattresses that come in a box for 20 years straight. And I only had two of them, one of which I still have in a guest bedroom. They don't break down, and I slept relatively well on them, but as you get older, you simply need better. Nothing even comes close to the kind of sleep I get on my Tempur-pedic, hybrid, medium mattress. I think after 20 years of minor league mattresses, I not only deserve but can seriously appreciate a purchase like this. I should've bought one 10 years ago, LOL! If you are considering purchasing a memory foam or hybrid mattress, there are many brands to choose from. But Tempur-pedic started it all, and their warranty is far above and beyond what most any mattress company offers. if the bed sinks, just 3/4 of an inch, they send a new mattress, at a y point throughout the 10 years of warranty. I highly doubt it will sink at all, but if it does, I'm covered. The cool top layer is amazing! I never get hot like previous mattresses, and that alone is worth it. Easily rated 11 out of 10 stars for this customer!! I hope you find one that fits your needs. Because when you do, you'll know it almost immediately. And you'll never look back, except to buy another one in 10 to 20 years that suits your changing needs for good, restful sleep. Many, many wonderful nights and naps ahead!

Quite expensive, but we were tired of restless nights with an uncomfortable mattress. We were told it may take a few nights for the mattress to conform to our bodies, but after a week to ten days we would like it. We experienced great comfort immediately. After 10 days or so, my wife still loves it. ln my case, I wake with a little discomfort in my lower back almost daily; which I did not experience initially. I don't understand why, but it is still better than our old worn out mattress.

This is the most comfortable bed I have ever owned. I used to have a Sleep Number, my Tempur-Adapt puts the Sleep Number to shame. From day one I have slept so sound. When I walk into my room and see my mattress I get the biggest smile just knowing its there waiting for me. It may cost more but is well worth it. No more aches and pains when I wake in the morning and sleep through the night. Thank you Tempur-pedic!!!!!
