Delicious Goodness

First time trying and never going back to regular bacon strip cut. Half the fat and an excellent smokey taste. We had a slice with a fried egg for breakfast on Father's day and my husband insisted we have it again as a BLT for dinner. We used Keto white bread also from Sam's Club and the family of 3 which includes my 7 year old daughter were so satisfied. I've seen these cuts in grocery stores but due to the price at regular grocery stores never picked one up. Sam's Club not only has great price but great quality. My family is trying to eat healthier options and this is definitely a new staple in our home.

Bacon Perfection

This is bacon from the collar v belly (American style) or jowl of the pig. It is bacon with a wee bit of ham attitude. It is smoked, just brown in a skillet: Cooks fast No bacon-fat pool Higher protein No nitrates Perfect thick meaty slices (@15 slices per packet) Amazing in sandwiches, burgers, roll-ups ... LOVE THIS PERFECT BACON STYLE!!!!

Great taste!

A little pricey but worth the price. Great on burgers and I even used it to flavor bean soup. I liked it so much, I went back to Sam’s and purchased another pack before they were sold out. Glad I did because only two were left! Would have bought them both, but the was still rather high.

So Glad We Tried It!

Very tasty bacon, although I'd call it a hybrid of ham and bacon, by American standards. The flavor is rustic and smokey, and not overly salty like regular bacon. Sliced thick, making it easy to separate and fry. It makes the absolute best breakfast sandwich I have ever had. On our stovetop I heat a cast iron smooth griddle, melt a pat of butter for each half of a Martin's potato roll bun. Toast the potato rolls, cook the eggs in a circle ring with butter, fry the bacon slices, all on the one griddle. Amazing breakfast sandwich, and this ham is what makes it so special. It really is delicious. It is NOT typical American bacon. It is wonderfully ethnic, reminding me of the many European craft meat shops of my childhood, south of Cleveland Ohio.

Best bacon I've had in years!!

I just happened to see this bacon at Sam's recently (not located anywhere near all of the other bacon-go figure) and it reminded me of a bacon that I used to be able to mail order some 40 years ago. Figured it was worth a try and am I glad I did!! Hardly any fat, good flavor, thick slices makes great BLT's. It won't fry up crispy or at least it didn't for me, but that's OK by me because of the increased meat and lower fat. Please, SAM'S, don't ever stop stocking this like you frequently do other favorite items. I will be telling others about this gem!

These are great for so many recipes

Great for breakfast! I also use them in my Ramen noodles and they are fantastic in spicy ramen. I have used them in my Red Beans and Rice, gave the same smokey kick of a ham hock without the all day slow simmering. They have a smokey flavor that isn't too strong. Because they are center cut they are not too fatty and you get very large slices. We used them on hamburgers and one sliced is all you need. These are great!

Good flavor but a little grisly

On a whim going through the aisles at Sam's, this new-to-me style of bacon caught my eye. Even though somewhat pricey, it is relatively lean and cooks up nicely. The flavor is good. So far, have only tried using it in sandwiches and for that we ran into gristle in places. Made it a bit of a hassle to eat and therefore cut down somewhat on enjoying this product. Next time I cook some, I'll try to identify the gristly places and cut them out beforehand.

Outstanding Bacon

My sister said that they had this in Atlanta, but I couldn't find it here in michigan. I was presently surprised to find it this year, as I've been looking for it for over a year. Great flavor, very lean, & premium taste. Grabbing extra for the freezer, in case it goes away in the future.
