Call it what you want but it is not bacon. This is more like country ham or the stuff you get on a fast food breakfast sandwich. It is edible. I would not repurchase. I will stick with Wrights.

Tastes nothing like bacon, the taste is reminiscent of pastrami but worse. Maybe as a sandwich meat with some good mustard it would be good. I didn’t get a chance to try it on a sandwich because it went bad so fast! Can’t recommend.

I thought this was going to be a lot better than it was,but it was more of a let down than anything.it doesnt have that bacon taste its more like ham

Purchased this because of the good reviews. I really enjoyed it. It's leaner than bacon, has a good flavor, reminds me more of ham. Will purchase again seems healthier than bacon.

This may be touted as European style bavon but, if you're looking for something similar to bsck bavon from U.K. this is NOT it! It has a very strong taste and smell and has a tendency to be greasy. Disappointing purchase!

My sister said that they had this in Atlanta, but I couldn't find it here in michigan. I was presently surprised to find it this year, as I've been looking for it for over a year. Great flavor, very lean, & premium taste. Grabbing extra for the freezer, in case it goes away in the future.

It "looks" nice.....it's "packaged" nice.....and that's "IT"! NO FLAVOR, MINIMAL TEXTURE. I guess you could surmise, at this point, that I'm NOT a repeat purchaser of Center Cut European Butcher Style Bacon. The price, considering it's purchased "via" Sam's Wholesale, isn't a bargain either.

Very tasty bacon, although I'd call it a hybrid of ham and bacon, by American standards. The flavor is rustic and smokey, and not overly salty like regular bacon. Sliced thick, making it easy to separate and fry. It makes the absolute best breakfast sandwich I have ever had. On our stovetop I heat a cast iron smooth griddle, melt a pat of butter for each half of a Martin's potato roll bun. Toast the potato rolls, cook the eggs in a circle ring with butter, fry the bacon slices, all on the one griddle. Amazing breakfast sandwich, and this ham is what makes it so special. It really is delicious. It is NOT typical American bacon. It is wonderfully ethnic, reminding me of the many European craft meat shops of my childhood, south of Cleveland Ohio.

Great for breakfast! I also use them in my Ramen noodles and they are fantastic in spicy ramen. I have used them in my Red Beans and Rice, gave the same smokey kick of a ham hock without the all day slow simmering. They have a smokey flavor that isn't too strong. Because they are center cut they are not too fatty and you get very large slices. We used them on hamburgers and one sliced is all you need. These are great!

This is bacon from the collar v belly (American style) or jowl of the pig. It is bacon with a wee bit of ham attitude.
