It's very quiet and it gets cold, which is about all I can say about it considering that I just bought it two days ago. If it keeps getting cold, then I'll be happy. I took the extended warranty from Sam's just in case it doesn't keep getting cold. One thing I wish it had and that would have pushed it up to five stars would be more than the one storage basket. I can buy mil crates to keep things sorted, but it would have been nice if it came with more than the one.

Bought this freezer 6/2022. It worked well until this week when it stopped maintaining temperature. I thawed the freezer out , and cleaned all vents, and started over and it still did not properly cool. I lost over $400 of food. Be advised the extended 3 year warranty only covers the freezer, not any spoiled food. I'm extremely frustrated and disappointed with this product, and terrible warranty system.

Bought this around 4 days ago. Picked up at the club. It's not heavy and is easy to move. Once I plugged it in, it cooled extremely quickly down to temp. Very good value for the money. WARNING: The lid pops up quickly (strong springs!) and if the freezer is empty or mostly empty, it will open with enough force to tip over or at least shift some! (just hold on to the lid while you open it) THE ONE ISSUE: In the instructions, it says to not use it in an uncontrolled temperature space like a basement or garage. I have mine in my garage/basement. The instructions say it is not designed to work in room temperatures below 55 degrees. I am in the mountains of Tennessee. In the winter, my basement often averages around 52 degrees during the coldest weather, which is what we are experiencing now. So far, no issues as I'm sure there is some variance on those temperature extremes. However, just be sure to note this when deciding where to put it or if this is the right freezer for you.

It's just the husband and I at the empty nest now, and our small upright freezer went out a few months ago. We try to eat as healthy as possible, which means mostly at home, so food storage is crucial and wow, I didn't realize how much I would miss my freezer! Was hesitant at first to purchase the chest type, but lucked into catching this on sale for $139.00! It is perfect for a family of 2-3, does not take up much precious space, and keeps our favorite frozen items fresh and perfectly frozen. It also came with a small basket and shelf inside. Very happy with price & product.

Have been running for a month maintaining temperature at zero. That's good but, after installing and loading the unit with food, we realized the green compress run light did not illuminate. Trouble shooting revealed a burnt out lamp. Contacted customer service. Their only solution was too return the unit for a replacement. That means we would have to empty the unit somewhere, and rent a vehicle to return it-for just a $12 lamp. Appealed to Igloo to just send a replacement green run light. After about two weeks with no response, I received an on-off switch in the mail. A switch not a light. I sent model/serial numbers and pictures and they sent me a switch-and a black one at that. I wrote back using their customer service email. Their reply was to take the unit back. Haven't heard from them since. I don't know if I need a compressor run light. No other freezer does, but if installed it should function. I suspect if that is the best they can do with repair parts, I hate to see if the freezer fails after the warrantee period.

I purchased this as a Mother's Day gift for myself to make more room for my meat. The lights come on & it has a slight sound like a refrigerator would but it does not freeze no get cold. SAVE YOUR MONEY BUY A DIFFERENT BRAND. Customer service has yet to send me another one.

I would give ZERO starts if I could. Poor quality product, extremely poor and non-existent customer service. Sent 4 follow-up emails to support2@curtiscs.com yet over 3 weeks later no response. I have also submitted a warranty request through their website, no response. Stay away from Curtis / Thomson products, there is no customer service to help you in case you experience issues within the warranty period. Freezer chest has frost coming out of the lid, I'll be reaching out to Sam's Club CS, I plan to forward all of the communication requests to Thomson / Curtis CS.
