[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this tape as a free product sample from 3M. I wasn't expecting much because tape is just tape. My husband ships products often, and he tried this out. He ran to me to rave about it!! He was thrilled to not have to re-stick the tape down by hand after a few minutes. It stuck exactly where he put it and had a strong seal.

Tape continually falls back on the roll. Hard to find the edge to unpeel. And hard to get the tape unstuck from roll without it splintering into ribbons. Wastes my time, wastes tape and creates frustration each and every time. Seems like Scotch packaging and engineering staff should have addressed these shortcomings years ago.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I use this on every package I send. It is sturdy, sticks well to all types of surfaces (cardboard, paper, plastic, etc) , and keeps packages securely closed. Literally cannot ship without this stuff!

Bought in conjunction with a Scotch 3M tape dispenser (red metal and plastic gun type dispenser with foam covered handle). The combination was useless. Tape didn’t adhere very well, then tape could not be cut by the blade. The tape would not cut even when I tried to stretch against the fully deployed blade. Thus, poor tape adherence and then failure to cut resulted in a lot of tape everywhere except where needed. Disappointing.

I use this tape at work ALL THE TIME & ITS GREAT. I am a pkg. Handler at one of the largest shipping companies in the world & if it wasn't for this tape, our delivery drivers would have terrible days because of companies who do not use this kind of tape and in the process off shipping their boxes start to break open , resulting in the contents getting lost of damaged in the process, which makes for unhappy delivery drivers as well as unhappy customers. No bueno when customers don't receive all they were expecting because of other ineffective tape used to close packages. Scotch brand packaging tape is the BEST!!! THANKS SCOTCH BRAND, YOU ALWAYS SAVE THE DAY!!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We recently boxed up several of my mother-in-laws paintings to ship to an art studio. Several were odd sizes and required us to make boxes. This tape held strong and everything was received in great shape! I highly recommend it!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is the tape I always use when packing up my classroom supplies to change rooms and I have moved 5 times in the last 4 years! I trust that the boxes will stay closed no matter who is moving them.

I purchased an eight pack of scotch premium performance packaging tape a month ago. Needless to say I did not think there would be a problem. Now I can't find my receipt. I loaded a tape gun finding the tape does not stick. I tried another roll and the same thing occurred. I am very disappointed. I thought I was buying the best packaging tape for the job. I now have 8 rolls of nonstick tape. This was money down the drain!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love this tape! I recently started selling things online. As you know I have to make sure the package arrives safely to the customer. I have been using a generic tape, but it was hard to use because it kept splitting on the roll and it was not sticking properly on the tabs so I was constantly trying to fix it. In addition, because it tore so easily I was having to put two or three layers of tape to insure the safe arrival of the package. With Scotch Heavy Duty Shipping Tape packaging is so much simpler. It sticks very well and does not tear so easily, so one layer of tape is enough. Also it stays stuck to the tabs, so I do not have to find the end of the roll and re-load the tape. This tape has made my life much easier!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is the one packaging tape I can rely on. It stays “stuck”. I was provided a free sample of this product in return for my honest opinion, but previously it was the brand of taor I normally sought out when purchasing packing tape.
