Prego Traditional spaghetti sauce has been my favorite pasta sauce for over 30 years. I use it for home-made lasagna, baked mostaciolli, meatball sandwiches and more. The price is reasonable, and in my opinion the taste is better than Ragu, which I used for many years. It's not "pretentious," like so many of the "artisan" sauces of late!

While I wish it didn't come w added sugar, you can't beat the price. I add hot Italian sausage, evoo, spices including red pepper for heat. Pour over cooked pasta, top w fresh mozz and parmesean. Husband's favorite dish even over my Italian grandmother's gravy recipe.

I would sometimes buy a different brand, believing there wasn’t much difference, but when going back to Prego, i realized how much more I liked its taste. To me, it has a little touch of sweetness, which I love. I often add a pound of hamburger to it, as well as parsley, a little salt and ground pepper, but if I happen to be out of hamburger, it’s still really good. My granddaughters say it’s the best spaghetti ever!

I have been using prego for years. It has been the base of my sauce.....or had been, the problem is now the ingredients contain bio-engineered ingredients. I will be making my own sauce going forward. I don't understand why there is a need for bioengineered tomato sauce.

Prego is a great base to any food that needs spaghetti sauce!
