Nothing beats my home made chicken stock or broth, made in my crockpot. However - this is a really good stand in, if I don’t have any. I wish it was a little stronger flavored, but it’s a minor thing. The Swanson Chicken Broth has nice flavor and isn’t salty! You don’t need unseen salt being added where you aren’t expecting it. Horraay! Which to me is important because most store bought stuff is either too sweet or too salty, in my opinion. Swanson’s has a nice golden bronze color and works well as a water replacement (or enhancer) in recipes- I use it most commonly when I make rice. But I also use for sauces and such things- I use it instead of water wherever I can, because it brings more flavor to your dishes.

I don't normally use chicken because of the sodium but this was a low sodium version. It added a richness and depth that made my soup pop! I'm going to continue to buy and use this.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The taste is quite flavorful. Looking at the ingredients, everything is natural and quite simple. I cooked it with pasta and it is comparable to my previous experience with chicken broth or chicken bouillon. It is convenient and ready to use. It is flavorful as it contains onion, celery and carrot. It is something nice to have as a staple. The whole container is pretty low in calories- 15 calories per cup/ 60 calories per container. on the other hand, despite the fact that it is 33% less sodium than their original version, each cup contains 570mg sodium, which converts to 25% daily value for total intake, not desirable for someone on low sodium diet.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I use chicken broth in most of my cooking. Swanson chicken broth either in the cardboard container or cans! It adds the perfect flavor to just about anything. 33% less sodium and you wouldn’t even taste a difference.

This is BEYOND perfect timing. Thank you Influenster! I’m making chicken soup with this and it tastes great. Non GMO and no msg. 100% natural and considering a lot of grocery stores aren’t open, this was perfect. Very thankful for this, added tons of veggies, beans and noodles with this broth!
