[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was excited to try the Carnation Breakfast Essentials nutritional drink. I picked the mixed berry flavor. I was not fond of the taste. It seemed bitter to me. I really liked the fact that it contains vitamins and minerals as well as protein and antioxidants. I would probably like a chocolate flavor better.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Carnation Breakfast Essentials Original Nutritional Powder Drink Mix - Rich Milk Chocolate tastes good. Seems to effective. Packaging is easy to open. Texture is just like other chocolate powders for making chocolate milk. Seems to be good value.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was skeptical a berry flavored drink would be good. Typically these shakes are vanilla, chocolate, etc. Well this thing tastes amazing! It tastes like an expensive smoothie from the local smoothie place. I had my kids try it and they too love it. 2yo: "more please" 4yo: "it's bad no one touch it, as he tries to grab more for himself", 16yo: "can you get me more of these for before school they are way better than my other shakes". As a mom I appreciate this type of convenience for myself and my teenager who hates breakfast. Knocked one star off simply because the ingredients aren't the best which means this is not going to be a daily shake but it is so so good I wish I could drink it daily.

My kids both tried it and loved the drink! It was a great source of protein and calcium to start their day. I would definitely recommend this drink to start off you or your kids mornings. I look forward to trying other flavors as well!

There is not gritty or gross taste it tastes just like chocolate milk, except its healthier and full of vitamins everyone needs. I am not a breakfast person and being a mom of four I hardly have time to sit and have a meal so carnations ready to drink breakfast is ideal for an on the go person!

I have been looking for the the chocolate malt flavor for a few years now without success. I, like many others here having been drinking it since the sixties. I find it hard to believe that this was not popular. It has to be a marketing issue because this flavor was excellent. Very disappointed to have learned from your website that it is no longer available. I had to move on to Ovaltine Chocolate Malt which is also very good. Please reconsider and reissue this flavor.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I don’t know what I was expecting with this one but the berry flavor just seemed odd to me. It was almost like one of my kids spilled their fruit juice in my vanilla Carnation Breakfast Essentials. It wasn’t terrible, but I won’t buy again.
