Ive been buying this product since my daughter was 2 and now she is 7. My daughter's iron was low because she was a picky eater and she only breastfed. After giving her breakfast essentials, her iron when up as well as the other minerals and vitamins she was lacking. I give this to my 3 children who are all lactose.intolerant. I love it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received the Carnation Instant berry breakfast drink in exchange for my feedback I loved the fact that the bottle is easy to open.When I opened it up it had a very berry fragrant smell of berries.The flavor is very nice not overwhelming.This drink is very filling as a fast breakfast.It gave me that great morning energy to get me through the morning till I could get time to have a nice meal.Even though it’s an instant breakfast drink it can be used at anytime of the day .I will be buying this product for my family so they can have a great start to their morning when they leave the house.I recommend that this drink be refrigerated as it tastes great cold thank you for the opportunity to give my feedback on this product

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Very chocolatey. I do agree you should use a mixer or blender to get it fully mixed. When mixing with a spoon in milk it seemed very gritty. The package was super easy to rip open and the box closes nicely with the little flap.

I've been using this for a few years. I struggle to eat enough in a day (physical issue), and this drink has been a staple in getting me the nutrition I need in a day. Mixed in with whole milk it fills my stomach and elevates a large portion of the hunger pains, nausea and exhaustion. Mixed with coffee and a little creamer it makes an amazing mocha breakfast. The Breakfast Essentials shake is perfect for those with crazy busy lifestyle or those that don't want to take the time and sit down for breakfast. I also like to use this for my midafternoon pick me up snack. I am always craving sweets around 3 pm and this meets that need plus give me protein at the same time! Back when it was Instant Breakfast (I still call it that, too), there was an Eggnog flavor. I loved it. Then it went away. I seem to recall enjoying a Mocha flavor, too. It's definitely gone now. Then there was Dark Chocolate. I sometimes mixed it with a little O.J. and vanilla almond milk. LOVED it. And through it all, there was Chocolate Malt. LOVED IT!!! Why? WHY? Why do you keep taking away my favorites?! I still drink it, still get the variety pack because I like the Chocolate and the Vanilla. Don't love the Strawberry, but it's okay. I used to drink it first, and save the Chocolate Malt for last. It's a hard habit to break after 40 years.
